Sooo many people have broken their collar bone skiing. almost everyone one i know whos skied for a while have done something to their collar bone. i've also seen 5 or 6 people break theirs skiing. i also am a victim on this as i cracked my collar bone at the end of the march break. it was only a crack so i was still able to carry out the ski season in ontario to it's very end under pain killers.. haha.

Broke mine and dislocated the part that hooks in to your rib cage (it was like 5 years ago so i don't remember the technical name). Did it dirt jumping I was back doin it like 2-3 weeks later and was at 100 percent 6 weeks after when high school football season started again.

Looks painful. Mine was cleaner than that and it hurts like a bitch, yours must have been horrible.

broke it a month ago. surgery after 2 weeks. wearing a sling til february and then rehab starts. fucks my season pretty good.

broke mine a few years ago...  When first injured makes even the most simple day to day tasks a hassle... heals pretty quick though.

That has summed up my last 4 days. I so weird doing everything one handed. I swear It took me like 15 minutes to open a pack of Ramen.

Well I haven't ,but my friend broke his 3rd day of skiing doing a switch 180 on a jump... then in February it's been 5 months and we were playing a pick-up game of hockey at a rink and he ran into the boards not to hard and next thing I knew he was on the ground and broke it again. Only skied 12 days the whole 08-09 season.

last year in February broke my collar and seperated my shoulder and recieved a nice concussion for good measure. oh yea it was on my birthday.

i was out for 3 months after the surgery. the scar is badass and i ended up leaving the plate in which will be forever.

oh and i just realized the picture i used for the plate was when my shoulder was extremely dislocated.. yea!

Twice in the same season. I broke it the day after Christmas in 2002, let it heal up, I had 2 weeks of skiing after it was completely healed then I broke it again. Same collar bone, different spot.

seperated shoulder, basically if you fall hard on your upper shoulder you'll break/tear something

Broke mine in 2 places, didn't get any surgery or anything. I tried to take the piece in the middle and twist it back into place, but it had sorta healed real quick (like 3 days) and now i have a super thick collar bone with a vertical piece sticking up in the middle. Only took 22 days off skiing.
