Peice of Graphite in my leg

When i was in like second grade (9 yrs ago) i got stabbed in the leg with a pencil by my arch enemy. The graphite from the pencil broke off and stayed in my leg (just a small peice and not far down). I noticed it today for some reason and its moved quite a bit. Its like 3-4 inches away from my knee. Do you think this could effect my knee at all becuase the skin is tighter around the kneecap. It will probably move there in like 4-5 years

not nessesarily...my mom has had a peice of lead from a lead pencil stuck in her hand since 3rd grade. shes 57 now and 100% healthy. you can still see the lead in her palm and she has never had any health related problems resulting from it

omg i have a piece of lead in my hand too from second grade...i accidentally stabbed myself while trying to open a glue bottle. No health issues or anything...its just kinda cool b/c you can see it through my hand.

haha same thing happened to me but in my hand, i was trying to show my friend in like 1st grade that i had such quick hands he couldnt stab me (when my hand was on the desk). Well, after about 5 tries he managed to get me pretty good, and i still have a few pieces of it left because the dick broke it off when trying to pull the pencil out. Seems to be ok right now at least

the lead in the pencil is a myth. its actually a mix of graphite and clay in regular wood pencils and the mechanical pencils.

my dad has a piece of graphite on his scalp cuz some kid stabbed him in the head with a pencil when he was like 10 and his bald on top now and you can see it and that was 43 years ago. One of my teachers has a piece of graphite in his palm cuz when he was in grade school, he was running down the hall with a pencil in his hand and dragging the eraser end down the lockers and some teacher stopped him and the graphite went into his palm and instead of pulling out the pencil as a whole, the nun teacher snapped it

yeah i got stabbed with a pencil in grade 6, piece of graphite on top of my kneecap. my doctor says not to worry about it. i think its a good story so i'm not in any hurry to get it taken out.

that happend to me in french class i went to borrow a pencil and i was walking back to my seat and my friend triped me and i staped the pencil in my leg and it went far in and broke. i had to take a ex atoe knife and some rubbing alchol it hurts like a bitch but i got it out. also right now i got a little dot were it was so ya i would worry .

dude, when shit gets lodges in your body, it travels around. My mom tells me how some of her patiantes (she is a registered nurse who works with veterns in long term care) who have shratnell in their bodys from grenades and bombs and things of that sort find that it moves. Over the course of 70 years, someone with shratnell in their back can find it in their wrist. there was one case where a peice had migrated into an arterie, and they were contemplating surgery to have it removed, but decied that removing it would be more damaging then letting it sit there.
The reason why my mom told me these things is because i have tones of pebbels and rocks in my knees from falling mountianbiking. You clean it out the best you can, but sometimes you just cant get all the rocks out on a trail, and they scab over and you forget about them. She says that the numerous rocks in my knees wont cause me any trouble in my life - and i have yet to run into problems, and most of this rock has been there for 6 or 7 years. I think your good.
