not to get all freaky religious on ya but lent is a celebration of jesus making the ultimate sacrifice for us. and religion isnt supposed to be depressing. and i didnt give anything up for lent cause i sorta forgot but instead of giving something up i usually try to make a conscience effort to do something i normally wouldnt do.

i'm religous but don't do the whole lent thing (not catholic either, crazy doctorin). I just don't see why for 40 days you give up something when the bible says to repent and turn from 'evil' when you sin... so isn't that giving up things and truely showing apprecation for whats been done rather then giving up something and missing it but then to pick it back up again? Personal opinion
