Stretching

Now i know i'll get a lot of smart ass comments about stretching buttholes and such but I was wondering if anyone stretches before they ski. I used to do it all the time for running but never have done it for skiing.

Should your muscles be tight so you can do the explosive moves required for skiing or is it better to be loose? I'm really sore because i've been skiing a lot and wanted to know if stretching would help.

strecthing is key, but i never do it...josh loubek taught me some wicked strecthes a few years ago..they were like taking ibuprofen, but not.

YES, you definitely should stretch. stretching is a good way to avoid injury when you're skiing, it keeps your muscles looser than they would be if you didnt, thus allowing for extra stretching of the muscle if you take a big fall or something. i stretch before i ski, it helps out tremendously

There is a series of articles about stretching in the Ski Articles in the literature section. I read a couple of them and they are pretty good. Stretching is key!

i did it the first 2 days i went htis year, but thats it, its just too hard to stretch in the morning when ur stiff

i would if our hill was open during the week but its only open on weekends and its too early and you dont feel like doing anything cuz we always drink and smoke every friday and saturday

You should stretch before skiing, but i don't do it and most people i know say u should stretch, but they never do either.

I don't stretch but I've gotta start because I have a fucked up back and I can hardly move for a couple of days after I go skiing. If I learn any choice ones I'll post them.
