I've seen a ton of threads over the years on ACL tears and how they're so shitty. I've had 3 ACL surgeries on my right knee and honestly, while they're a pain, it's only a small portion of one's life. I just wanted to make this thread to tell anybody who has torn theirs or is rehabin' theres to keep your head up, cause it's really not that bad once you think about it.
it sucks when you cant do the shit u love (skiing, or any other sports u missed out on because of it), but once u get back into it, it makes you appreciate what you're doing much more, and it all seems alot more fun
if i just did my knee i would be fine, but after missing the whole first half of the season and spending time in the hospital and finally recovering only to blow my knee is a little bit of a bummer...
K, check this out. You missed one season, which is too bad. I blew mine out freshman year of high school and was unable to play high school lacrosse and hockey because of my multiple surgeries. Sure, it's a bummer, but it's really nothing to complain about, comparitively. Think about all those people who can't ski anyways, not just for one season.
