Freestyle without twin tips?

I like hitting the parks and I would even like to start sliding rails and boxes etc. but I dont have twin tips, I just have some all-mountain Blizzards. I mostly ski moguls and glades and the like but I would like to get into freeskiing. My skis arent that old and I cant justify getting new ones just to ski the parks. Is it acceptable or even possible to slide rails or boxes or do spins off jumps without skis specially designed to do that, i.e. twin tips, atleast simply to learn the ropes before committing to freeskiing?

I've been riding the park all year on single tips. It just gets sketchy on rails. But my skis are new and I didn't realize I'd start wanting to ride park. I hope to get some twin tips for next year though. I just haven't landed switch off jumps, nor have I tried, that might start getting rough.

I learned to jib on some expensive Atomic race skis. then I hit my head really hard, and realised racing was gay. So I bought my 4FRNTs and havn't gone back.

dumbest thing ive ever hered, why shoulod you care about someting someone else has? That's one thing i really don't like, people that hate on other people for having better gear then them, clothes dont affect your riding.
And as for the new AR5's, jsut becasue he can aford them and he isnt that good now, doesnt mean that we always only be able to do 50-50's.
Im pretty much just saying stop the hate, and spread the love.
And as for the sking without twin tips, i did, and i still dont even have enough money for twins, so im jsut skiing on some old k2's, just try and get your bindings near centermounted, so you get used to it, becasue that the usual spot for bindings on twin tips

Definatly. I started doing 3's and sliding boxes with Atomic GS9's. I could even ride switch a bit, although I couldn't land jumps switch. moral of the story, just go for it.

Rails do get a little harder because they have a lot sharper edges, but if you can do them then, you'll be good with twins, that's the way I see it.

It's definitely do-able, and riding park for your first while on regular skis ensures you don't just waste a couple hundred bucks on twin tips to do something you don't like anymore
