Spring Break in Tremblant

Hey, I'm from Michigan and a few friends and I are heading to Tremblant for our Spring break. I know the drinking age in Quebec is 18, and we're all 19 or 20, but I've read a few places that all the bars in the village are 21+ only. Do any of you guys who live there/have been there a lot know if this is true, or is there going to be a bar we can go to?

yeah, we're going to be gettin' there on march 4th. I had just read and heard that the bars were 21, but I heard that no one really cared that much, so i was just wondering what was up. I can't wait though, should be a real kick ass break.

I'll be up tremblant over spring break too. 22 of us from the University of Pittsburgh ski/board club. We're staying in Place St. Bernard right in the village. And apparently theres a big air comp the first night we're there. But yeah my first time to quebec. Should be a blast. Might be one of the most crowded places for spring break north of mexico haha.
What bars/clubs are good to hit up besides that caribou one?

i wonder what the laws are for that. If the drinking age is 18 can you legally make an event 21+ only? Couldn't that be considered discrimination?
I remeber making a big deal about it back in the day when i was like 19, the bouncer told me to leave, or he would have to remove me.

caribou is technically 21, but its really just an excuse to reject losers. Cafe d'epoque will let anyone in for 10 dollars, octobar is where all the ski le gap kids hang out, so if you want a british chick go there. But yeah, caribou is pretty good if you get a good bunch of people. If you want to pick up though, cafe d'epoque is a sure thing.

l'epoque was super lame. the ratio was fucking terrible. the bartender downstairs is a fucking swindler. they give you little shots but are actually half shots for 4.50 so by that time the jack daniels is kicking in and im getting really pissed off so i throw the guy a quarter and he grabs me by the arm and says tips aren't included. well FUCK YOU you just pour me a half shot of jd and grab my arm and demand a tip, when i handed you the fiver then why did you give me back my change if i had no choice but to tip the 50cents back to you. FUCK.
then some motherfucker at the front tricked my brother into saying he was the bouncer. he started to run off, so my brother chased after him, by the time i realized what had happended i booked after him.
luckly the motherfucker made a wrong turn in some trees and tripped and i made it in time to see my brother drag the motherfucker down i rushed in and put my boot over his face and said i was gonna stomp him if he didn't give back the money then my bro told me to chill for a second so i put the dude in a head lock and wailed on his kidneys a couple timees, the kid paid up our 10 and an additionial 20 dollars HAHAHAHA,
oh yea about the 21,. they just don't want kids to get rowdy, so it makes the nigt shift easier and channels all the kids to the bars.

If you can speak french you can get into any bar there no matter what. Unless maybe you had an American ID.

Yeah Caribou just puts it to 21 in order keep dumbass tourists out... Locals can go in at a pretty young age. But as long you're not acting some loud obnoxious jerk the bouncers are nice.
I had to beat up some big time American douchebag there back in like December. I was at the bar with my friends and the dumbass grabs my gf by her arm and starts harassing her to dance with him and actualy starts pulling her. That sorta explains why they have to put the age limit higher; basher inexperienced Americans(and folks from other places with a higher drinking age, dont wanna generalize) who dont know how to drink and get rowdy at a single drop of acohol and cause shit.
...the guy got what was comming to him

La Diable//Bromont is really nice I agree. My uncle and a few family friends are up there right now. I passed up due to the Wachusett thing this friday, and wanting to get some $$ from work this break.
I love their newbie park, its pretty sweet. That lift for the newbie park is way too slow though. Apart from that, the entire mountain is really nice and full of stuff to keep you going.

Dude they dont lose any bussiness, cause that place is da shit. Besides 21+ just makes a more mature, easier to handle crowd. I lived in Tremblant for a bit when I was 18, and if you know the bouncer they will let you in. But Cafe d'epoque is alright if you cant get into caribou.

the deal is US = 21+, Canada = 18/19 plus. americans come to canada to party, dont know how to act in a bar, and do retarded shit, tremblant is notorious for stupid americans, so yeah, stereotype is justified
