Why do i suck at skiing?

it just seems that whenever i go to try something i become a big pussy..like ill go up to like the 10 footer in my mtns park and try to 5 it but ill pussy out at the last second and just like flail and rotate like 180ish..all the kids make fun of me and shit and say i dont deasve this years choppers if i cant even 3..all i want is some imput that u guys use to make u more of a man

I get the same thing. If I eye something once and pull out ouf it like 5 times before I do it, it ususally won't get done. I wait till the next time I go out and usually get it first or second time.

last year was my first year or free skiing and i was scared to do anything, even 180 (haha) this year ive just been goin big and trying everything even if i cant do it and in a month or so ive would of landed a 5 if i didnt eject.

so just tell urself ur goin to do it no matter wat and dont turn back. it has been workin well for me for the most part

yea but park is like my life..i look up to the good kids and see their talents and they inspire me to become the best that i can be..i dont think i could ever stop being a park rat until i can at least 5 a 25 foot and slide a c box..like when i see the one kid, dan, at my park and he throws 9s and 7s i start to like feel sad becasue i know that im never gonna be able to do that but hes so good i just wanna go out and try but i dont wanna get hurt

you arent physicaly strong enough, if you want to be a good skier, treat skiing like your life. eat breath and sleep skiing. get strong and shred every second you can.

Ya for me If i dont do it second or first try there little chance I wont wimp out after that. Just do it.For me almost all the time I always land the trick first try I just to afraid of doing it

I get intimidated by real good kids but... you gotta be kidding me... skiing is supposed to be fun and feel good, if you aren't having fun and whining about how you suck then honestly don't do it
put some music on loud and go do a trick, if your gonna fall, get your feet underneath you, don't lean back and be a pussy on the takeoff cuz then that'll hurt, if you act like a puss you will be a puss, so attack that huge 25 footer with all the speed you need and pop, it ain't rocket science, just a little bit of physics and a whole lot of practice

i feel the best way to accomplish stuff is with others

when i ski with people who are easy to ski with then ill try stuff they try

even so, lots of people have problems stepping up, or even getting started.

anyway, ski with people who are as good or a bit better than you-the pressure to improve will turn into fun competition.
also, fall. once you stack it once you realise its not that bad and if you dont stack it at least 3 times a day, youre not trying hard enough.
