i had 4 pins in my hand and the cast made it a pain in the ass for gloves...so i found the biggest mittens possible and used them...worked out pretty good...u just gotta learn to grip your poles without using ur thumb, or jus go without poles

depends what your injury is!
When I had surgery on my thumb two years ago, I skied with my hand inside my jacket...one armed boxer style!
It prevented me from putting that hand down if I fell and saved me the pain of busting apart my operation....

i had pins in my hand all season until today. i at first just velcroed shut the end of my sleeve. then once i had a small enough cast, i could barely fit a mitten over it. but the velcro closure was a bit easier and better.

when i had my finger broken, with one of those big metal braces on it i couldn't even close my hand, it was like in the shape of a "C"
i had a pair of xl mitts that had 2 removable liners inside a overmitt, so i put my hand in that then duct taped the pole to my hand.

Buy a pair of cheap but warm mittens. Cut the hand that you need down the middle of the back.
Sew velcro on both sides. Slip your thumb in the thumb hole and then velcro the mitten shut on the back of your hand.

I broke my thumb in the spring so I didn't need a glove. Go with the mitten idea..I hope you're not going to try and hold a pole with that hand.
