Video camera handle

i was wondering if anyone new of a company that makes handles that attach into the hot shoe of a video camera

I've heard of alot of people making them out of aluminum piping and the tripod camera mount.

i made one out of pvc for my canon zr200. it was sick and worked awesome......but i just the camera with it and bought a gl2...
