Ok I just got back from skiing all day (my new Pubs kick ass) and all day my legs like inside my boot were killing me. The boots werent tight at all yet my legs were killing me and now I can hardly walk right. Now I have Technica Vento(new) boots and they have an option to make them like angles and I was wondering if they were just at a bad angle or somehthing and thats why they hurt or is it just that I'm not used to them yet. Oh btw my legs hurt like on the outside muscle (like faceing out, left side hurts on my left foot and visa versa)
im using my old boots which are a tiny bit too small and they hurt my left shin sometimes. like, i get 24 hr blisters and then they are gone. try keeping your boots done up at all times when they arent on you. it works well i find
its called shin bang and all you gotta do is tighten up your boots and maybe wear an extra pair of socks or something to help protect your shins for a little while
haha, SAME thing here. i do a ton of biking in the off season, so its not like my legs arnt in decent shape. but its one of those wierd muscle groups thats hard to hit doing other stuff. its like the outside muscle of your calf? mine were super sore the first couple times goin out, but they are gettin alot stronger. thats most likely what is is. and yeah, new boots usually are uncomfy till they get broken in.
Yeah its not shin bang becasue it is the oustside of the calves like east coast and vt said. Hope fully it will go away after a few more days of skiing.
jk. it just you havent used tose muscles. i doubt it has anything to d with the new boots. ive gotten brand new boots each year for the past few years and iv had no problems with them making my feet hurt.(other than shin bang)
Maybe your boots were too lose? That would allow your ankles to supinate and thus put the fibularis muscles on the lateral sides of your leg into a stretched position whenever you turn and they would also have to contract to stabilize your ankles. That would def make them sore.
okay so the outside of my shins are not getting better. i know it's my new boots, and if i try and tighten them it gets worse. my whole leg just cramps up. but if i leave them loose i know that isn't good either. sorry to bitch but it's getting to the point that it's making me ski like shit. and i can't walk for the rest of the day. errrr
