I bought some used boots. They came with insoles. Did those insoles origionally come with the boots? Because I took them out because they were so nasty and worn. I think the insoles I bought from target are too skinny to fill out the boot, but do I even need insoles? The boots are Tecnica Rival X7's.
i got used boots and the insoles bent up and they hurt my feet...so i took them out and the only diff is my feet dont hurt...long story short u can get new ones but it dont matter if u have them in
You are a morron to buy used boots. Everyone does this cause they aren't as cool as new skis are, but you are overlooking the fact that boots are your only means to interface with you cool new skis. Plus a pair of boots will last through at least a couple of pairs of skis. Everybody's foot is so different that when you buy boots you should be totally open minded and try on as many brands as possible not just Salmon or whoever cause that's what your buddy has. Your buddy's probably got a tottally different foot than you anyway. Then deffinately get custom foot beds. This makes your boot money, and fills in under all the wierd contors of you foot, the arch etc. Custom foot beds let you put edge pressure on your ski with you whole foot not just the balls of your feet or wherever it is you walk. Look at the bottom of some old shoes the most worn area is where you would be putting pressure inside of your boot without foot beds. You get so much more control and faster response with a footbed that matches the contors of your foot. I've had foot beds that I got made for $100 ten years ago and they've stayed with me from my racing years into my freeriding. They make my ski boots more comforatble than most of my other footwear. Once your foot stops growing I'd suggest making the investment. Sorry about going on a tirade. Try the Superfeet stuff as a cheaper alternative.
