I'm considering getting a helmet, cuz I slammed my head pretty bad last time I went BC. Also wondering if I should get a back shield. How many of you use these, and is it necessary???

depends on what you ride and how hard you ride. if you are jumping off fat cliffs then it is a good idea to wear a back shield. they can help you avoid serious injuries. And a helmet is always good. if you fuck up your head with to many concussions you become as smart as a carrot.

yep, helmets are pretty much always good in bc and if you ski hard... Fuck it, Wiener's right. Protection is good.

If your just skiing down powder faces in the bc, dont worry about it. If you are skiing lines and stuff get a helmet.
