they are super hard, but look fun. i tried a few, and kinda did one (my ski was like just at a wierd angle to the rail. kinda like \| (first line is the angle of my ski and second one is the rail.) they were doing them on rails that were beside a ledge, so they just kinda put their ski against the ledge and slid down, way easier that way.

Shane Szocs was calling them 25s at camp... you know like half of a 50- 50... I thought it was a funny name for them... so that is what I call them.

skiing has come so far, why are we doing 1 footed rail slides..? Backflip to rail is sick, but now skiing is becoming rail ballet.

It is called a makio. Why would you name a skiing grind from from a skate boarding trick(50-50)? It makes no sense. If you did a ally-oop makio it would be sick.

yeah they are pretty un-stylie. Try to do it like a regular grind, only one footed but grab the ski, it looks way cooler

How about this...

soul grind=bottom of skate
bottom of ski=base...

so what about base grind? Super simple and logical...

personally I've started to think that the 25 looks really good, but a backslide doesn't. Just something about backslides that I don't like....just a super clean railslide with tricks on and off the rail (and the occational switch up)is way cooler.

Dude, don't call them a '25.' Like a said earlier skiing has nothing to do with skate boarding why should we derive our grind names from them? Makio or fishbrain(if you're topside) is what they should be called.

Paul cotter did the backflip to rail slide.

I like to do backslides cause theyfeel cool.
I dont care about how they look casue I have fun doing them and I grind for fun.

Makio are REALLY hard to do when you pop onto a rail. I do them cause tghey feel good too butI think they look really cool too.
