I am going to de-tune my edges underfoot and I dont want to sit there all day and scrape my ski on a rail. Would it mess up my ski if i took a dremel tool and a really fine bit to wear it down? I heard that this messes up the bond or something. If so is there any easier methods.
I would naturally detune them by just using them. Sure sharp edges are more difficult to slide with, but don't you like to do some turns once in awhile? Thats just my opinion.
Is it just me or does it seem that it's easier on the edges if they are detuned before you start slidin' rails? I find if you don't detune them the square part of the edge almost curls up, if that makes any sense to anyone lol.
def. detune before hitting rails, if you ride all mtn. and can ski properly it won't hurt you that bad and if you're doing presses, you really need to detune.
