Maidens w/ Look p18

Like new 189 Maiden. This is this years ski, was skied on ONE day last season.

Mounted with Look p18 bindings which do have a season of use on them, however if you are familiar with these bindings you will know they basically never break.

The bindings were mounted at +4 for a 316 boot, I think it is 316mm Ill have to check on the exact numbers.

I would like to get $600 dollars for the entire setup, Im not sure the going rate for the setup so i think $600 is fair what do you think? For brand new skis, and as awesome of bindings as the look p18 I think thats fair. If you are at all interested email me at e.dorsey16@comcast.net.

Thats what I was thinking. Viscious you seem to know prices pretty well though, what do you think is a fair price for me as well as the buyer(which doesnt include shipping, buyer pays shipping)

I think $600 plus shipping is plenty fair. When you break it down, it seems more than fair:

Assume $450 for the Made'ns, which is nearly impossible to find. That leaves $150 for the binders. And there's no tax for the buyer.

Brand new, that set up would be like $500 for the skis and $300 for the binders at best.

Ya alright so $600 it is, the skis are new basically. I took like 5 runs on them in spring, and the bindings have a year on them but they are as good as new being that they are indestructable p18. Buyer pays shipping.

killer deal, those bindings are worth $300 alone, a sick bc booter and pow ski. if i hadnt already bought my skis i would make like tities and bounce right into those p-18's

Ya sorry AKFreeride I would prefer not to split them up. And besides if you are looking for a awesome set up it doesnt get better than this, so just buy the bindings AND the skis:)

Also I dont know whats up with the maidens topsheet or my stickers but half of them are already peeling off after one day on the hill. So do not worry about the stickers, I will make sure they are all off and the topsheet looking like new before I ship them.

Yeah proform on new p18's is 180 I believe...so unless you are able to get proform they are more than 200.

did you have any trouble bending that break for the big waist? I was going to try and put p18s on my Prophets this year is it even worth attempting the brake job?

Took me about an hour, take the brakes off the binding. Then take them to a bench vice and bend the brakes so they are totally straight like this _______ all the way out. Then you can rebend them farther down the line to where you want them to fit your skis. Thats really the best way to do it, although you do risk snapping one of the brakes in half. Simply pulling the brakes wide while they are on your ski really doesnt work as well.

believe me, don't go with the blowtorch idea. tried that with my ZRRs, didn't work so i tried to take em apart with the instructions from the TGR forum. a plastic piece on my heelpiece snapped cause of the heat from the blowtorch and now im stuck with a pair of worthless ZRRs. sucks cause i wanted to put them on my pistols...

Yeah you really dont need a blow torch, just use your own strength and be gentle with them and tehy will gradually bend straight. Then you can rebend them again farther down the straight brake line and they fit perfect.

Its way too forward for my liking, sorry. I wouldn't use these for anything but backcountry and deep powder days. I can't justify spending money on skis I will only use a few times a year unless they are perfect. I don't drill skis more than once, as half superstition, half structural concerns.

I have pocket rockets for normal powder days that will make do until I find what I want

But its still at least 4cm more forward then I would want them.

Call me old-school, outdated, or retarded, but I really hate skiing skis that was forward mounted. I despise centermounting.

Mine have absolutely perfect bases, and just a couple corner sidewall/topsheet chips, nothing that isn't just cosmetic.
I'd say it was a pretty decent deal.

Ya but ask anyone on here, +4 is actually really great in the powder....I think they would ski like shit if you mounted them -1 or 2. Im way more of a powder big mountain skier and I was leary of +4 too but I honestly thinks thats the perfect position for pow.

Responded to the PMS...

You two have piqued my interest in this, and it seems there is a good chance I am wrong. I have never skied "powder skis" forward mounted, just normal skis. I consistently catch myself wanting more ski in front of me on my pocket rockets. Sounds like these skis are an entirely different beast.
