Yeah, another cop story.

I'm driving home from my friends house at 3:00 today. I'm coming up to this intersection that has a new light in it. Anyway, the light turned yellow, and I didn't think that I would have been able to stop in time, so I kept going...one of those judgement calls. The light went red RIGHT as I went under it...like I had to lean forward to see it turn red. Anyway, it just so happens that waiting for the light on the other street is a cop. He pulls out and puts the lights on and pulls me over.

He walks up to my car, and before I can even say "good afternoon officer" he just asks for my license and registration. I give it to him. He asks if I know what I was pulled over for, and if I had had anything to drink today, which was gay. I said, "was it for that light back there? I didn't think I could stop in time and I am very sorry officer." He takes my stuff, looks merciful, and goes back to his car.

I thought he was certainly just gonna give me a warning...I mean, the light had JUST turned red, its not like I went right through it. He comes back to the car and gives me a 120 dollar fucking ticket.

Normally, I would be like, fuck that...I'm gonna appeal this in court and get it reduced to like 50-60 bucks...but good fucking game, I'm leaving for college in a week, so I wouldn't be here to appeal it. So now, even though this ticket is totally fucked up, I'm going to have to pay it.

fuck the police.

nah man, i cant...I am leaving for college and wont be home until thanksgiving...that wont fly.

And yes, the cops in my town are EXTREMELY gay...its actually the town next to me that I used to live in...anyway, its a bunch of rich old fucks who have nothing to do but bust kids and be lame like that...our cops suck.

Dude, you can get that ticket completely thrown out. As long as you were in the intersection before the light turned red, its legal. If you are going to college though, then it probably wouldn't work. Cops like that are straight up fuckers, and are obsessed with their own power. It sucks that you had to deal with one like that.

U can have the court hearing delayed, Check ouut this website. Its how to beat a speeding ticket but its a lot of stuff for any ticket.

Yeah the whole situation sucks...at least the parents understand and aren't mad about it. I'm gonna see if my dad can take it to court in my absence or something, represent me in a way...prolly wont work, but its wortha shot.

this guy has it right, if you are in the intersection when the light is yellow, you are fine. the point in which you are running a red light is when it goes red before you cross the first crosswalk. This ticket is bullshit

That is what i figured...Thought that its late in the month and this fucker is just trying to get all his tickets written up cause he was too busy crankin one out during shift or something. I need to find away to appeal this without being home for it or something.

man, i thought it was legal as long as you were in the intersection if the light was yellow, so if you entered it when the light was still yellow and then it turned red, i thought that was legal.... fuck, that is gay

tweaks you are right, they do have to reach a quota...i thought I had said that. This was yesterday, the 19th. Clearly he is pressing to meet his quota within the last week or so, like any sleezbag cop.

yeah the week before i left for college i had so man run ins with the cops, but theyre fucking idiots so they couldnt get me for shit, all in a span of like 1 week i had to run from 2 cops in my car after blowing by them at like 20 over, and i got searched when i was chilling in a parking lot, right after we just hotboxed my car, every time i had a scale and nugs so i wouldve been fucked if they caught me but i guess i was ucky because i didnt even get a ticket

No, the quoata stuff isn't true. Thats what I always thought too, then I got a ticket, and had to go to traffic school. Cops do not have a quota, they are just straight up assholes. It looks better for them if they issue a ticket as well. If they want to fuck you over, they pretty much can.

Can't believe no one's said this...don't pay it. You're not coming back, there's no consequence. Even if you're back on vacations, the police are not gonna track you down. You'd have to not pay many parking tickets for that to happen, and even then all you get is a boot on your car until you pay.

i see a cop in my town maybe once a month, but in the next town over like 10 mins away they are complete assholes, they have ticketed people for going 32 in a 30.... or like a 34 in a 30... it sucks so much im glad i dont live in canandaigua

if i went red when you crossed it it mean : 1: you in fact DID have time to stop. 2: didn't have time to stop because you were driving too fast. 3: the time you took to think "i stop or not" was too long. in the last possibility, you are a real danger on road.
