RAIL CONCEPT

okay so i was thinking while wathcing my new IN THE HAZE video, which i finally got, this:

you know in propaganda they did the loop. and how skaters do the loop. well why couldn't skiers do this- ON A RAIL! why hasn't this been accomplished, if possible, it would be super cool to have it on next year's NS media film? whatever...i just thought it'd be cool

sounds almost impossible, but it would look fuckin sweet. u would need mad speed and be lined up sooo perfectly caus the rail would have to sort of spiral so it ends up off to the side a bit and doesnt come down right where it started.

thats a little extreme, but a loop fun box could be possible, and yeah, it would probably hurt alot either way. we should have a contest: whoever accomplishes a rail loop first and posts a video gets a free NS t-shirt

it would have to corkscrew so you wouldn't hit when you came around....so it sounds pretty much impossible to me...and if I did a loop rail, I'd want sponsorship and money, not a t-shirt...no offense to ns t-shirts.

i have thought this thought forever. The other dya a friend and i were thinkin that pretty soon every rail is gonna be accomplished. But then i got thinkin......s loop rail...but i tihnk it is impossible.

yeah ive thought of this before, but how big would the loop be if it was big then it would easyeir but you would need like super g speed and if it was small it would be so super tecnical that no one would try it cos imagine fucking it up, twice as painful as normal.

everybody thought a RAIL itself would be impossible on skis at one point, same with a circle rail but snowboarders have done it

ya, it would be possible, but the rail would have to be so tech. for one it would almost be impossible unless it was made out of flatbar or a shotgun rail, the rail would have to corck screw sideways, the rail would also have to have a tilt to it like banked curves on a roade, other wise you wouldnt go around, the rails could be as small as double the height of the jibber, because the head of that person would be the center point, but if it was that small you would need immense speed, balance, and ridgid knees. You could make the loop bigger but then you would need alot more speed but the g force would be down and the stress on your legs would be alot less.

no snowboarder has done a full C rail, they got about as far as anyone who did the green c rail in happy dayz. skiers can slide rails like snowboarders, they just can't do as many on rail tricks as them.

dude i was looking through my friend's snowboard mag and there was this guy doin a full circle rail.. and as for the loop rail..damnn.. drugs are bad

that'd be sweet if a skiier did it and just blew the whole snowboad community away. it'd be some major progression and if they were an amatuer would probably get sponsered like nobodies bussines....hmmm good way to get sponsership just don't fall and break a hip

maybe they could make a funbox loop where the funbox is kind of slanty shanty like the one of the ones in Happy Dayz (I think it's at Hood or Windell's) so it would be easier to stay on/travel the necessary distance sideways to exit the loop.

when you come around (finish off the loop) your have to be carefull that your tails of your skis don't catch on the start of the rail.

that's what i said, it would have to corkscrew like a roller coaster and to me, to stay on a rail like that and do a loop is pretty much impossible - you saw pep say how difficult that cork rail was in happy dayz...just think about doing that rail, going upside down with constantly shifting speeds and g-forces....if anyone did have the balls to try, i think they would end up more hurt than not hurt before failing to even get half way around, but if anyone wants to prove me wrong, i'll def. film you trying

Yeah me and my friends have discussed this. It is possible and i estimate it will be done eventually but the factors envovled and the skill required are unfathomable. Considering you could actually do it, if you didnt have enough speed and stalled youd fall down on the rail and break your back. And all the centripital force needed to stay on the rail combined with the balance to stay on they rail and it would have to curve at least 4 feet so that the skis wouldnt get cought i think itll be a few years before we see this done and when we do i think itll only be done once.

i saw a mix between a c-rail and rainbow rail in some movie, can't remember which one. Has anyone ever seen a mix between an s-rail and a rainbow before? that would be sweet

mammoth has a neon green c rainbow...i think the closest thing to the s rainbow thing would be colossos.
