knotbox i hope you know there is a ton of east coasters that skateboard. just because a maybe 10 people that you know from the east rollerblade doesnt mean everyone does. plus theres nothing wrong with rollerblading. its so good for your skiing

dude first of all, i did it because i wanted to, i dont give a fuck if it pushes the sport into a different direction. i do what i want. do you think skiers think about if their trick is going to push skiing in another direction. fuck NO, it just adds to the sport. thats just one thing i can do. if i picture something in my head before hand, i will do it regardless....skiing is endless kid, why would you not do something, if you could do it...it's all fun..

Do you think the academy made getting somewhere with skiing easier for you by building up your skiing abilities, or did it hinder you because it made it that much more difficult to differentiate your style and in the end, seperate yourself from it?

Oh - In petes defense, i get the same way sometimes too. Ill see a trick that i really dont like on skis getting tons of publicity and it will bother me - it shouldnt because its just some guy doing whatever he wants and having a good time with it, i should be giving huge propcredit where its due. We all just care alot about the sport, and want to see it go where we want it to - ease up on him hes just protective.

to answer this question, well yes it deffinatly helped me do something with skiing. lets face it, it's really hard to progress your skiing skiing at a place like holiday valley. going to a ski academy at the time was kinda the only way i could do it. im thankfull my parents forked out that kinda money for me. there was a time where our family pretty much went broke because of it. it really took a toll on our family at the time. they knew skiing was something i wanted to do, and it's impossible to follow when you come from a place with no hills at all. even blue mountain was too far away. cva had some really good coaches, and they taught me the mental game of being a pro rider, and they really taught me how to succeed in this sport....i could only handle it till i was a junior in school. im currently still working on my grade 12....
for me i dont feel it hurt my style in any way, i mean i skied with phillipi, marion, silas miller, pretty much the best kids on the east coast at that time.. we just fed off eachother and progressed. mad people are kinda bitter against academy kids. i understand that because before i went, i hated those kids too. but in reality i just wanted what they had. it was more jealousy. so thats why when kids, hate on it...i know what the real reason is. I think it's not necessary if you live by a mountain, but if you dont, it makes it really hard...

also, mad people thought we skied and looked the same when we skied. mike gutt said this in freeze one time. i believe at the time it does, kinda have some effects on your skiing...i mean your skiing with the same group of kids for like 3 years...it's like wi9th anyone. if you see you friend do something in front of you, thats what you learn from. you take what he just did and you feed from it. thats why all of us ex cva kids, phillipi, marion me, all can ride pipe. we all can do the same kind of tricks. tell us to do something and we can. thats just how we learned to do it. for example, i learned a prezel 270, way back, within like a week marion and phillipi could do it easy. i took from them, and they took from me. it was like an equal balance. We deffinatly have way different styles of skiing, but it was kinda natural that we could all do the same tricks. nobody would want to let someone get better. it's still that way haha. just when you think you got one beat , they show you up....it's awesome...

I actually do have some questions. first off can I have both of your movies your in for free? Second: What was your biggest banger this past season? What do you do to reileve stress before comps?? is it weed? Also how do you reccomend getting noticed? Do you edit your own segments? Did you make your own films with your pals when you were younger?if so who did you show them to??

yah reggae deffinatly is what i listen too mostly. ive been actually kinda obsessed with it recently.. it's all i listen too. mmmmmmm i would say the best for sure is sizzla....lyricson is really good... if your into sizzla's style, you may like turbulence...capelton is dope too. im really into sizzla remixes on hip hop beats..
