anathema, um, you just named a whole bunch of modern punk bands......i dont know what you would call modern punk, but its any kinda punk. and punk related stuff.

hmmmmm, well strung out came out with their first cd in 1998, they have 8 out, so that's not entirely modern, but i guess.. pennywise came out with their first cd in 1987 i think, so that's by no means modern, rancid, yeah i guess they're newer, but it seems i've been listening to them forever. and sublime had their first gig in '88 and began recording in '91 i think, so they're not that modern either.

i think modern punk is more like, good charlotte, fall out boy, simple plan, something corporate, allister stuff like that, im not sure, haven't been really keeping up with the punk scene.
