The best is the Rossignol or Look race stock binding. Before next year, the Look/Rossignol was officialy the best binding out there. They are changing the system for next year, so we will have to wait and see. If you want a guaranteed good binding, get a Rossignol FKS 120 (race stock)
"Why do people say "As fun as a barrel of monkeys?" If you were thrown into a barrel full of screaming bloodthirsty monkeys, it wouldn't be very fun at all"
I don't know if I want the looks or rossis because with the pivoting tail piece whenever I fall sometimes I bend or snap the brake. I already got the 05/06 rossi scratch 100 models in February (which are the same) because of the waranty and i noticed with just one fall laning switch the brake bent. Would a non pivoting tail piece help? What about the marker free ride? If anyone has ridden the are they a good binding?
there is a little home in the front of the toe piece under the screw that sets the DIN and if you flip it over, there are two openings in the bottom of the metal toe piece that allow snow/water/ice to get into it
why in god's name would they have those holes there? why would it be good for water to get inside a metal binding? wouldn't this just rust out the spring over time?
anyone know the function, if any, of these holes?
you'd think the housing would be completely sealed to keep the internal parts from the weather and rust, no?
What allows ice and snow in, also allows water out. Snow and water seeps under any binding and gets into the spring housing. With that design even though it allows stuff to get in easily, it also allows it to come OUT easily.
