I just got this email and im pumped to come back to school, if you live nearby help this guy out


.............this Summer for a competition this Fall? Tired of dragging snow all over campus to only make a couple runs before getting chased off
by the police? Like to show your stuff to a crowd of spectators in a sanctioned competition, and maybe walk away with some awesome goodies?
There is a new double ice rink being built 15 miles North of UVM just off of I89 in Milton. The ground was broke last week. They are planning to
have one sheet of ice operational by August, and the other by October. This means there will be snow available in August/September when
most of you return to school.
I have been talking to the owner about setting up a terrain park, and he is definitely interested. He watched the competition last November in
Downtown Burlington and was impressed. The excavation is happening right now. If we want to have something set up for the Fall, I would like to
have any interested individuals contact me ASAP, so we can meet at the site some evening and start making plans.
When was the last time someone came to you and said "I'll give you a site. I'll help you acquire the materials. I'll let you design whatever you like
(be reasonable, we won't be able to duplicate Steamboat Springs). I'll give you all the snow you want..........in August. I'll let you organize a
competition on this site designed and built by you. I'll make sure all your friends have affordable and safe transportation to and from the site. I'll
arrange for liability insurance coverage. I won't make you haul your own snow. Is there anything else you need that I can help you with?". So? When was the last time someone said all the above to you.............and was stone sober and meant it? Give me a reply ASAP if you're interested. Any questions or concerns will be addressed immediately. Think Snow!!!

Extremely sick, lets make this happen. Just imagine a jib park (which may even include jump or two) that will greatly extend your season. E-mail the kid and tell him you support the project and can help him out.

I think it's unecessary to give Will an excuse to get any better at skiing... I'm pretty pumped though, I'll come hit it in the fall before I go out west.

thats sick.. but i'm just wondering how this ice rink will pump out enough snow for a jib park? leddy ice rink doesn't put out enough snow for something like this and it has 2 rinks inside... i dunno.. need more details :/?

whenyou build a setup, put salt on it, it accumulates after a while because it all wont melt. after a few days of shaving it it will get big. like say a pile was 4 feet tall. then after a day its 3 feet. after they shave it its 6 feet. a foot melts to 5. then they shave and its 7, then melt to 6. itll accumulate

jumps are not going to be very realistic seeing as the area is totally flat, but the guy said they are excavating thousands of cubic yds of dirt so may a small one, pretty much, i'll take anything

I'm on your side with this. I don't know if there's gonna be enough snow. The only reason UVM has piles of snow in the late summer is because they take the ice down for a few weeks after the NY Rangers summer hockey training.
