Ayyy -Ohhhh back again, high part 2!

hey all

hope everyone is enjoying their newly discovered summers, they seem to be so new every year.

well, some crazy things have been happening to me lately.. ill try to recap and capture.
Well.

ONe day, eddy got a call from a girl in calgary. He wanted to go see her. He decided to go at 8 30 pm. So we hitch and get a ride to canmore with a dude in a ford fiesta, the backseat filled with hundreds of beer cans. i was swimming. he dropped us off, and we waited for a ride. and waited. it was getting real late, and no one was stopping, so we go to the local bar to see ... anything. he calls a cab company and they tell him its a hundred dollars to calgary. So he goes to a bank machine. He really wanted to get laid. And i guess you gotta do what you gotta do. We smoked a j in the cab, that was cool, and we arrived at the u of C res, and partied a bit with the people in their room, and eddy got lucky. On the way back a aussie picked us up, and we did an impulse hike up a mountain, all hungover. we built a deck at octavias. we snuck into the banff springs pool and got busted cause we werent sly enough. umm.... we went to see Thornley at Cowboys, that was sweet. We got a cab ride and the driver smoked us on a joint, and gave us 5$ if wed buy him a 12. that was our payment for a 20$ cab ride. I ran into stephan in Hoodoos in banff, at 3 am we were trying to find some pot, we asked a cop where cougar st was, and the cop gave us a ride there. To pick up drugs. hahaha, damn that was funny. There were a few fights on the street, the bouncer knocked a guy out in the middle of the st. Went to the dinner theatre where my girl Hali works, they made us partake in all sorts of embarassing on stage extra parts.. There was a huge party at the sun pit on the top of lake louise at 420, (apr 20th) and i started a huge snowball fight, and then skiied down, and stomped all the booters, the 25 ft rainbow on my first try, STEVE! SEND ME THOSE PICS!!, and the angled box.

SO, in the last 3 days, some more crazy things have happened. I was looking at the mountains hitching to calgary to find a place to stay and a job, when this durango stops, and i hopped in, turns out he just stopped to look at the mountains too, but he still picked me up. Hes a country singer whose song plays cross canada on the radio. He was going to calgary too to find a place and a job. we were both broke so we stuck together. We found a place for 5 days, where i was going to move in, and 2 days before i was going to move in, the landlady hated on my game. So we were getting desprate now.... So. We headed to banff partly to ski, partly to get him (*Don) on the banff radio, maybe a gig at wild bills. He played with tim mcgraws drummer at Rose and Crown. On the highway to banff, (oh yeah, he lets me drive his truck everywhere, even alone, a 7 seater 98 dodge durango slt) i was driving, and right in front of us a van fully flips over, so we pull over and have to climb up on a sideways aerostar van and we lifted out an old native woman. we sat her down, talked to her, and took great care of her, and never paniced (? sp). the guy who was driving beside us stopped too, and while we were waiting, don played a country song on the side of the road in the cold for him. Turns out hes a musician, as well as an undercover RCMP officer, and he has 2 homes. He tells us that we can live in his house for a few weeks while hes in bc. He gives us the code to his garage, and now Im living in a 300K house in the lap of luxury, driving a durango, and chilling with a famous star who says when he makes it, ill never have to worry about money again. and he will make it, hes great. his name is don tuttle, and hes huge. physically. biggest arms ive ever seen.

So last night I ate a whole crab in front of a gas fireplace. ANd its all free... not the crab, but the house.


ON saturday, i ran into Neils and nathan in the bar, and we ordered 6 poutines and a pizza back to the house, then ate mushrooms at 330 and went down to the river until the sun came out. that was a great night.

So basically, i was on my last day before getting kicked out, no cash, no job, and we rescued a woman, and we got rescued. instant karma.

what a bunch of freakin magic.

i now have a weekend job as an arborist, working outside for 12$/hr. im sittin pretty for at least a week.

im going top be living in calgary for the summer, and when im settled, you ottawa crew can come out and chill.

I think ill write a bit more from the Te of piglet, starting where i left off from the last email.

We would like to pass along something that weve learned directly from the earth, as well as from the Taoists, tibetian buddhists, native americans, the writings of the prophet Isiah, and others; A new way of life is coming - one so unlike today's that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to describe it in todays terms. We might call it the Day of Piglet. before it begins its approach, wed say to those people who havent had the inclination or the time to become acquainted with the natural world: Never mind - youll be getting acquainted with it , anyway. Because over the next few years, the natural world will be coming to you (although not necessarily in the way you'd like it to). Perhaps you might benefit by beginning your acquaintance with it now. Just a suggestion. Wheather many people realize it or not, man, the Inferior Animal, has by now proved himslef incapable of keeping his own species - and others- alive for very much longer. So the earth has begun its own plan to set things right. true to its generous, gentle, and loving spirit, it has been giving us one warning after another of what it will be doing - doing, we wish to emphasize, for the sake of human survival. The sensitive are recieving the messages. But one day when they least expect it, the INsensitive will suddenly find themselves Out in the Cold, rather like the mammoths found every now and then up north encased in ice, with once fresh vegetation in their mouths and an "i say-who just shut off the heat?" look in their eyes. As we understand it, the major cause of Whats Coming is the present day denuding of our planet - the massive overcutting of its forests. American citizens are spending one billion tax dollars a year to subsidize the U.S forest service's Giant Giveaway of old growth public forests to the logging industry and japan, causing countless native species of animals and birds to lose their homes. By now, ninety-six percent of the nations original forest has been removed. meanwhile, the government of china is permanantly employing 45 million (one and a half canadas) people in reforestation, making tree planting a cumpulsory subject in schools, and decreeing that every Chinese citizen over the age of 11 must plant from 3 to 5 trees a year. The smaller children are being taught to plant flowers and grasses. Maybe these people Know something.
