Possibility for Multiple Mount Options on a Ski?

I have a pair of Koala 103s mounted at 3 behind true center. Factory rec on them is 6 behind true center.

I'm wondering if it'd be possible, using something like helicoils or binding freedoms, to do a secondary mount and try them somewhere around 5 back, but still be able to go back to 3 if it turns out I do prefer the forward mount point.

I'm not looking for something to swap back and forth a bunch, but to at least be able to return them to the first mount point if need be. Anyone ever done something like this? And is a 2cm gap too small to pull this off?

what are you trying to get out of the ski?
Depending on what kind of state the holes are in you might be able to use the same holes or if there not good you could just heli coil ur original holes and put the binding back in that position.

Use quiver killers. They're built exactly for that purpose. I think they're kind of like helicoils

i second the quiver killers. although i have never used them. they seem to provide more stability to the skis that the traditional plugs that a shop puts in when you get a remount

I'd 100% vouch for quiver killer, I've installed a couple hundred in my skis. If you are fine with the cost and all the extra tinkering required it's pretty sick. It's quite the process tho and gets expensive

I've been meaning to do a quiver killer write up on installation tips and tricks sometime. Lots of tools required compared to a normal mount

I've only ever done one! I couldn't imagine doing a couple hundred!!!

well you probably have done 16 for a single set of skis. 32 if you had 2 mount spots on the same skis so that can really add up quick

Pretty unrelated but I once knew a guy who only had one pair of pivots and would put them on whichever pair of ski he wanted to ride that day
