Solid 7: Style Points

The Solid 7; a whenever the hell I feel like it article series detailing 7 solid, not necessarily great, skiing related topics.

By Matt Kretzschmar

The Solid Seven will be a whenever the hell I feel like it article series detailing 7 solid, not necessarily great, skiing related topics. Whether it is 7 questions with everyone's favorite pro Jason Arens *cough* finish the damn interview *cough* (yes it's still not done yet), 7 epic BC jump shots, or the 7 gnarliest bails from the previous month, just know I'm doing you a solid.

Style is subjective to each person. While one person's style may appeal to one skier, another may dislike it. This list is 7 of just many videos that I think are stylish. If you disagree, leave a comment with a link to your favorite videos!

PhD in Stomponomics

Lars Tynes. The Norwegian style machine lays down some of the sickest dub shifties I've ever seen. Having a PhD in Stomponomics is something much of the ski world wishes to attain one day, and for good reason.

Dale Talkington Spring Edit

Dale has one of the most aggressive styles which makes ever single edit of his a treat to watch. Every single trick is a banger and he goes massive more often than not. This spring edit from 2010 is one of my favorites, especially that 5 swap...

Welcome to Jiberish - Seany J & Clayton

One of my favorite additions to the Jiberish fam as of late, the Stept boys have the illest style in the streets which no doubt translates to their park game. Make sure to peek the dirty Cork 9 cuban at :23 seconds.

Ambitionz of a Ridah

Classic Tom style from the OG days. Still on the come up and one of the cleaniest styles around.

Walk in the Park - Adam Delorme

Go fast or get left in the dust by Delorme. He doesn't slow down for anyone, even the filmer. Mach 10 nose butters and avoiding Aspen gapers is just another day in the life.

Welcome to my Hood

The star studded Stept crew rolled through the Windells lane back in the Summer of '09. With all kinds of style variations oozing from every shot, they made an instant classic as soon as they hit Upload.

The BAD Edit

Brogan, Ahmet, and Liam Downey made Summit country theirs in the monumental edit. This is definitely in my top 5 edits of all time. Classic song, style from the OG days of freeskiing, and steeze was off the charts make it an all around amazing nostalgic trip down memory lane.

What edit would you replace one of these with?
