what was the worst thing that happened to you throughout the season
Going big off a little kicker at keystone and somehow taking off completely backseat and getting the worst shinbang I've ever had. I was in some of the worst pain of my life on the drive home and my shin still hurts over 2 weeks later
Running over my dog while backing out of the driveway.
Casing at Breck or finding out my GoPro's mem card hadn't been cleared on one of the sunniest, emptiest, most perfect condition park days my home mountain has ever seen
Catching an edge taking off switch on a 30 footer. I landed fine but was shitting my pants for a few seconds
When I ripped my ear in half on a tree. Shoulda woar my ear pads.
fractured and fucked up my wrist a day before my only competition of the year! and taking myself out for the last two weeks of the season
watching everyone in our crew go down w/ season ending injuries. that sucked
The moment I landed after overshooting a jump and thought I blew out my knee. Luckily it was nothing serious and I was able to just take a few weeks to film and even announce a couple rail jams and then was then back to normal. A lot of good things came out of that injury... Don't think I've ever said that before.
Friendly comp with a few of my friends, tried to see who could go smallest on a cork 3 without hand-dragging, ended up sending it on a 15 footer in the beginner park and didn't come around completely and tweaked my back out so hard that I couldn't walk for 3 days, much less ski. That shit sucked.
Profahoben_212When I ripped my ear in half on a tree. Shoulda woar my ear pads.
pics?????
when my knee bent the wrong way and my MCL went "nope sorry now I'm gonna bug you for the rest of your life"
Got off axis in the air and landed on my back. Cracked my helmet in half.
For the first time (ever?) this season when I was out west the powder murdered my legs. Normally I can fire away down the entire mountain no big deal, but at steamboat the constant powder made skiing groomers so choppy I couldnt go 100% without having to take a second or two after each run.
or kicking out a window of a gondola one drunken night and getting fined for it
Otherwise it was good season, landed my first punch front so that was cool.
first day on new bindings. also my bday. snapped heel piece off new bindings
Went off a jump, washed out, and my ski popped off. The brake didn't come down and my ski flew into a tree and broke my binding. I couldn't ski for the rest of the day after only 4 runs.
Under-rotated a backflip on a backcountry step down, tips caught, flew forward and smashed my head into the ground and gave myself a nasty concussion. My neck still hurts from the whiplash.
Skiing only like 5 days because I have practice and training trips all year
dropping a fresh new bowl off the ski lift into the white oblivion beneath.
tearing my acl for the 2nd time in 3 years on a stupid 30 ft jump mid january. Over rotated a 3 tail.
fuck this shit i m still pissed.
I straddled at bunch of rails, 1 of them urban, and I smacked myself so hard I got sick after it. I twisted my knee in October at a preseason rail jam, but that got better after a couple weeks. The good outweighed the bad.
2nd run on a bluebird I taco'ed a a rail and broke 3 ribs then after continuing to ski later that day I overshot a jump and broke my nose....
Took a switch dub ten to somewhere around 160 in Freeway... Didn't stop bleeding for a while...
Wind Gust made me explode on the knuckle. http://instagram.com/p/mnuIzsmdvl/
And in March I was trying 3 ups on an A frame, slipped out and got a nasty concussion. 2 days before the ACT Test. (Basically biggest college placement test in our state)
well it didnt snow t a at my home mountain. it didnt even open. so the whole season was kinda shit
when that old guy tried to touch me in the gondola
faceplanting right under the lift on the first run on a powder day
Landing screamin semen after doing a 3 off a cliff. I thought I torn my MCL. Lucky just a bone contusion
losing my helmet cam head planting mid one of the sickest lines I rode this season.
having my pass pulled for a week for cutting a ropeline!!!!!!
Living in revelstoke for the winter, they happened to get 3 weeks of sun in January. On the last day before it was supposed to start puking snow again. Caught a edge and fell hard, ended up with a dislocated shoulder and a torn rotator cuff. Still waiting on surgery.
Went of a big drop and got off axis landed on my side and got a really bad concussion.
Having to traverse 10 minutes to an unpatrolled part of the mountain (black mountain for those familiar) after close because jstrathern can't follow directions (it was also cloudy and getting pretty dark in between the trees) But, if that was the worst part of my season, which it was, than I had a pretty damn good year.
When a snowboarder rut threw me off on a flat spin and I blew my shoulder and missed the last month and a half of the season
Hit an elbow bar that I'd never considered hitting before. Fell on top of the rail perfectly on my stomach. I've never looked at that rail the same
instructor pass got pulled with a month left in the season due to me skipping shifts to shred with the homies... lesson learned.
switch 2 on to a flat rail with a donkey dick my front ski came off I landed on my ribs and rode the entire second half of the rail and dick on my ribs. I laid in the landing for at lest 10 minutes.
Broke both arms, couldnt jerk off for 6 weeks
under rotated a backflip to my face and broke my nose and bled all over my clothes
When I went huge on the the jumps at my resort. I landed flat hardcore and I broke my brake of my binding.. shit I never even hit those jumps til like 2 weeks after.. I Fucking hate jumps..
hoodcrewwatching everyone in our crew go down w/ season ending injuries. that sucked
Dont drink and ski, kids
