what was the worst thing that happened to you throughout the season
When that 12 year old loser wouldn't let me touch him in the gondola.
Getting two shoulder surgeries and not being able to ski.
stepping closer to a cliff to get a look at what's below it. I was a dumbass and took my skis off to hike over, while I was looking down the snow beneath me slipped and I fell about 15-20 feet bouncing off rocks on the way down. landed in powder and came out with a couple bruises so not too bad on the injury front.
inb4 gapers cant drop cliffs
landing on my face halfway down the landing on jump 2 in medium line at key was a great time, you know it's good when you leave a blood trail on the landing. Also tomahawking 50 feet at the basin and none of my sis popping off, twisting my knee super bad sucked chodes.
Landed sideways 2 times and later found out that I somehow destroyed one of my vertebra. Missed the rest of an epic spring season
Went for a nollie front off the rainbow box at taos, tried to send it deep but stupidly popped way to hard off the apex of the rainbox, and came around ready to land on my feet, but with another 7 feet to fall to the flat area after the landing. Course rather than tucking up and trying for an accidental double or at least making it around enough to land on my back, i instinctively opened my body up trying to stop the rotation while now slowly flipping another 180 degrees forward and being real fuckin scared for what seemed like forever. Basically i bailed like i got kicked in the back off of a roof, but tripped on the edge of the building on the way off. Then my head and arms hit ground first and my feet and skis keep rotating over and i scorpioned and rolled over my neck and slide to a stop. Was really grateful to ski away from that one... my friends said they thought i was have to catch a heli outta the park.
Wish i had a video of it, but basically this really quick type flip: https://www.newschoolers.com/membervideo/672316.0/Nollie-Front---wolfcreek-11-12-13?s=210808&t=6&o=8
off this feature but going twice as fast:

so i guess the worst thing that happened this season was i had my worst wreck yet and didn't get it on film :)
Getting wicked stoked on learning hand drag cork 3s with my buddy Z and then dislocating my shoulder on one during one of our last runs.
got launched face first off of a sticky up rail right to my side... cracked a few ribs that day
Tearing my labrum and screwing up my rotator cuff off a pole plant.
Smashed my jaw on my knee mid season. Wasn't that bad but it was the most painful thing that happened to me all year
When my knee blew up...still waiting for a goddamn MRI and probably surgery.
When I destroyed my skis or when I cracked a rib going chest first onto a rail
Concussion. Ended my season about a month ago, still haven't recovered well.
Some creepy asshole was trying to touch me when I going up the gondola. Never again will I go up one without my parents.
I was skiing really tight trees, caught an edge, straitlined for 20 yards with no room to slow down, hit boots on low lying branch, double ejected, and catapulted into a tree. I was pretty sure my tib/fib was broken when it happened but after a couple days of ice and limping i was back at it.
Breaking my wrist and needing serious surgery for it
Skied switch into a lift tower well just outside of the park. Ego's still recovering
broke my tibia and fibula and then at the end of the season dislocated my elbow broke it and broke my humerus
I legit went bigger than gucci plateau, 50 foot jump and landed after the landing in the flat, got lucky it was spring skiing because hard pack in January I think I wouldn't be walking anymore
VIEBS.Skied switch into a lift tower well just outside of the park. Ego's still recovering
How fast were you going?? That sounds awful.
the_trapHow fast were you going?? That sounds awful.
Probably around the second turn...
Overshooting a cork seven to complete flat, landing so far forward that both tips go into the ground causing my brand new toe piece to snap in two and my arm snapping into four and then on top of that after 10 weeks in a cast I found out I needed surgery leaving me with two plates and 20 screws
When I realized midseason, that the season as a whole had sucked so far (Bad weather, no progression, injuries). Luckily for me it went from being the worst season ever to the being the best season ever, after late season rolled around.
VIEBS.Probably around the second turn...
Oh I was imagining you just hauling down the hill and then smashing into the pole and like almost dying or something

Broke the heel on a set of markers into multiple pieces on a landing that got taken deep. Bought some FKSs, fucked up the brakes the same weekend to the point where they were unusable on a cork 5 gone wrong, warranty replaced them but that took over a week out of my season. Then proceeded to concuss myself on a cork 9 where I caught an edge on the landing.
When I was grabbing my tips in the lift line and ejected and ate absolute Shit in front of 50+ people
Broken Wrist. Story: I was mocking down a groomer and making big arcing turns across the trail (no one was in front of me). Then out of no where someone hit into the back of my skis. My skis went sideways I double ejected (not good when you're going 50mph) and was launched into the air. I came down on my right wrist, and then went head over heels a few times.
Had a cast for a few weeks which I could ski with, but it kind of threw my whole season off, and in it was right in the middle of my competition of my competition season
It's the after season that has sucked honestly. Now that the season is over our dog is sick, my car is having problems, it's been super rainy and depressing, and no more girlfriend as of like, This weekend. So that's cool
Destroying my balls on a rainbow rail. That pain lasted longer than it should have.
definitely when i dislocated my shoulder. i was going to nollie the last down of a dfd box, pressed a little early and not evenly, and washed off to the side. my elbow dug into the slush and stopped my shoulder when my body was still moving, next thing i know i cant move my arm
Skiing down to my car at keystone on st Patricks day. It was about 130 when we decided to leave after lapping the park all day. Headed down I'm goin first hauling ass (too fast for a slushy icy spring day) and I reach the roller section under the lift. This place being notorious for being the area where my roommate Mackenzie slammed his noggin on a boulder. So the first roller being a bit steeper from park crew making adjustments. Here I am not knowing the changes try to absorb the transition slam into the lower rollers and I slip out sliding sideways into the tree next to the lift tower and notorious boulder.
I'm there hugginig the tree when my friends arrive and Im there moaning like a bitch trying to catch my breathe. I had my friends get patrol cause it was more than just knocking the wind out of me. I get into the clinic and get the result of splitting my liver in two and major internal bleeding.
nine bags of blood and an ambulance ride later I end up having emergency on my liver and spleen.
If I had not called patrol and just played it as "knocking the wind out of me" and had gone home I would not be here.
So that's my season ender

shit dude i actually remember seeing ski patrol pick somebody up on that section. idk if it was you, but it was around that time and it looked like a park skier (not some random gaper)

If it was a blue flannel with tight pants with a shit ton of park rats around then that was me
going to the er after under rotating on a backflip at stowe. Huge fat lip and black eye for a week goggles shattered
Almost fucking up my kidneys after slamming on a knuckle. Still having some back pain from that one
snapped my finger, and it didn't set right. So i have to go back and get the shit re-broke. Blows
Under rotated a 7 and hit my head. Instantly knocked out and went into a seizure. Severe concussion and brain hemmorage. I don't remember much of that day or the next few days. College semester is now in jeopardy but I'm here and okay :) wear those helmets kiddos. I wouldn't be the same person mentally if I didn't have mine on.
The worst thing that happened to me this season was watching and having to hear my best friend snap both his ACL and meniscus.
Going to class... that shit was realll gay
Rosa_Parkpics?????
No really sure if I'm allowed to post that?
Biggest pow day of the year and forgetting skis, and pants
