Pret introduced the Cynic X for this season, updating the Cynic from the past years. The Cynic X features both MIPS and RECCO systems in the helmet. MIPS allows for the helmet to slide in a similar manner to the head in a fall.
There is a magnetic buckle, which makes it easy to close and put on with gloves. ALong with an adjusting back, to perfect the fit of the helmet. The ear covers are actually comfortable, but can be easily removed should you wish to do so. Beanies (although not recommended by manufacturer) can easily fit under the helmet and not feel like it causes any movement.
I tested this helmet with Sith IO/S, IO/X and Shred goggles. I found you have to play around with the fit if you want to wear it under the helmet, however all of these can be worn over the helmet fine as well.
The ventilation system is effective without feeling like too much.
I'll be honest- the first time I tried this helmet I hated it. But, by the second day I had already forgotten how my prior one felt, as Pret makes a kick ass helmet.
