I purchased these boots as a replacement for my aging T-races. I was expecting similar performance to that boot -that is a stiff, almost alpine, feeling boot that inspired confidence. Unfortunately Scarpa seems to have gone the other way with these. After a short break-in period (about 4 runs), they became very flexible, and toes became quite ramped. The liner is of a softer foam than the powerwrap liner I am used to, and the larger last shell affords a more comfortable fit for most feet, but performance definitely suffers. I am not so satisfied with this purchase. I would have purchased the TX Pro instead of these, but I thought the stiffer flex would be to my liking. Now I have a boot that is too soft for me without the Tech toe compatability that the TX Pro provides.
