        Overall

Overall the blade is a very good pack, the only down side I have foung is that I can not get my pelicase for my figital camera to fit into to due to the size of the pocket openings. Still unless your carrying around a few thousand dollars worth of camera gear a peli case is rather unnessary for day to day skiing. This is deffinatly a worth while product to buy.

        Performance

The Dankine Blade pack is in the larger sizing for day/multi-day packs. It is built by the same standards that dakine builds all their packs, which in case you dont know is quite high. It has a X-carry system that allows you to carry your skis diagonaly.
The only real downside to this pack is its lack of ability to A-frame your skis and the width of the main pocket openings.

        Design

Some of the best features in the Blade are
-side access to the main pocket
-water bottle holder (able to snugly fit a 1L nalgine
        -X-carry system
-quick grab system for your shovel handel/ice axe
-seperate pocket for snow shovel blade and probe
the thing I like about the design of this pack is how easy it is to get things in and out of it using the side access. It makes getting at things that are at the bottem of the pack much easyer.

        Value

Alltho it is a bit more expensive for a backpack at 160can its well worth the price when looking for a pack when you need to cary lots of gear. It is deffinatly worth the buy
