        Overall

If youre on the fence about north face or just need a new jacket definitely pick one up. It will cost a pretty penny but if youre a normal person and dont need a new jacket every year, this one will probably last you forever. ive had it for about three seasons now and aside from cosmetics, its good as new.

my little brothers have gone through "steezier" and more popular jackets over the last few years and none of them have held up like this one has.

get your mom to buy you one. santa works too.

        Performance

I have never been cold in this jacket. I had my sweatshirt stolen in the lodge one day and had to finish night skiing in a t shirt when the temperatures were in the teens. other than the obvious sleeve draft i was perfectly warm. And on the warmer days i was surprised at how comfortable it remained. The only days I really needed to shed the jacket was t shirt weather, other than that its like a waterproof hoody.

I have yet to tear or rip it on trees or rails or whatever. So far all I can manage is a rust stain from a rail.

The powder belt works fairly well when I actually use it. New Hampshire isn't really known for its deep pow.

The only negative thing is the sleeves come a little short on some grabs.

        Design

I dont know what exactly the inside lining is made out of, but it feels like pajamas made by jesus.

The pocket placement is 8/10. the only pockets that really dont have a use are the velcro breasticle pockets.

Best ipod pocket/ chord sleeve ive seen for awhile.

Vents and design make for awesome airflow in the warm weather.

Vent zippers aren't bullshit and dont get caught on the mesh. big plus.

hood had hoody style drawstrings. pretty nice.

the hood also fails to become a parachute when you go fast. also pretty nice.

The ink or dye of whatever they use to color it fades a little from rub on after a good while. but its hardly noticeable.

        Value

Well worth the money. Great jacket to wear on and off the hill.Looks sick.
        You feel like Tom Wallisch.

        Fit

When I had gotten my jacket The North Face hadn't really shown its face in the freestyle field (when electric blue was still the only bright color you could buy) and when I saw people riding or wearing the brand, it always seemed like it was a brand meant to fit tight and snug. However, after I had put it on for the first time (I had the XL) i found there was a lot more room in there than I had imagined. Not enough for the baggy, Im gonna rock my wu tang shirt over my inspired hoody look, but it had some room to breathe. Defiantly a good pick for someone who wants just a relaxed fit without the excess. I will say that I still wish the sleeves were about a half inch to an inch longer though. thats my only concern.

        Durability

        Slight fading.

        No tears or rips.

        Holds up very well.
