Registration for The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series Virtual Competition is now open on TheNorthFacePPOS.com. Through the competition, halfpipe and slopestyle freeskiers anywhere can "virtually" compete with one another by submitting videos of their dream park and pipe runs. Competition prizes include the chance to film and ride with Tom Wallisch in his new project "Good Company," a $10,000 cash purse, gear packages from The North Face and GoPro cameras.

The Virtual Competition is a chance for skiers age 12 and older to submit a video edit of their dream competition run. The video can be edited to combine the skier's best tricks in the park or pipe, but it must flow like an actual competition run. The halfpipe may be any length or size, and the slopestyle entries must utilize eight features including four rails and four jumps. The same rail or jump may be used multiple times in the video edit.

The video submission period will commence Jan. 30 - March 1, 2015. All athletes must register prior to submitting their video, and registration closes Feb. 16. The competition will move into a round of public voting Feb. 23 - March 6. After the public voting round, judges will select finalist submissions based off a combination of public voting results and their own discretion. Judges will analyze the entries similarly to a competition run and assign an overall impression score of 1-100. The final score will determine overall winners to be announced March 24. Specialty awards will be given out to best GoPro footage use, best trick, rail and air, biggest personality, viewers choice and the Wallisch Select.
