Currently deciding where to study, and, my criteria for a successful trip would be; partying, having things to do (ie skiing) and meeting people.
Is UofC a good idea?
Wondering if I could get some locals insight...ty

I'm in my second year at UofC, living in rez both years. It's definitely a party first year (opportunities to drink at least 3 nights per week except during exams). Campus bar is rowdy as fuck on thursdays.
With regards to skiing, it's pretty close to COP, but not walking distance (I end up there a couple times per month). And there is a bus to Louise that goes out on weekends with decent prices that leaves from pretty close.
I say if you have the opportunity, live in rez first year. You won't regret it, one of the best years of my life. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
k-robyou could do better.
Sure, there's a lot of better universities that have what I'm looking for such as UBC and Boulder. However, my uni doesn't have partnership so I can't go there. I have to compromise.

Thanks dude, I'd definitely live in rez. Expect a PM soon...no doubt I'll have more to answer.
I've been at U of C for 8 years now, no complaints but I hear things have gone a bit down hill. If you have a car, bring it, you need one in this town.
Yeah my 2nd choice is now McMaster in Ontario. 1st is Lund, Sweden.
Thanks for the help fellas
