Better late then never, huh? This season we were committed to fulfill the name of this project and finally film couple episodes in Czech... However, in similar fashion to last year, this year's winter was quite terrible. So believe it or not, this episode is filmed in mid-February, yet it looks like end of May hah. Well, it is what it is. Also, that's why we named this episode this way. February and bros… get it? HAHA, GET IT??? I think we've achieved comedy over here. Alright…now enjoy some fun shredding! Spring in the East: skiing and making maple syrup.
A friend was asked to dispose of this 10 foot rail at work and brought it to me. Placed it in the woods so I could jib while waiting for sap to boil off.
Inspired by the recent safety slide controversy, I went for right and left hand safety on the rail.
Boiled the sap almost to syrup, and I'll filter it then finish it at home where I can watch the temperature with a candy thermometer.

Off Piste With is a new series from NS, taking a look at skiers who live the ski life a bit differently. We wanted to find out what makes their unique minds tick. First up is Maximillian Smith aka BMack, who has been a breath of fresh air in the ski scene for a long time now. He might not have made the cut in SuperUnknown way back when, but as one of the founding members of The Bunch, BMack has been bouncing and swerving his way around ski hills worldwide ever since. He's definitely doing it differently these days, living city life while making a real difference... and still crushing it on the planks.
