Peak Performance launches new ski film

The sneak premiere for Peak Performance’s new ski film Enjoyable State of Being was held this weekend. The film is a portrayal of the Peak Performance ski team on their travels during the winter. Above all it conveys the joy of skiing in fantastic surroundings, but it also emphasises fellowship, excitement and unbelievable performances by some of the world’s best skiers.

Peak Performance’s ski film Enjoyable State of Being had its premiere this weekend in Åre in connection with the reopening of Peak Performance’s shop there. The film shows beautiful sequences of team members, among whom are Henrik Windstedt and Kevin Rolland. Enjoyable State of Being was produced by Fred Arne Wergeland and some of the music was composed especially for the film by Nicholas Sillitoe. The film will be screened at several film festivals during the autumn, including D.A.F.F in Denmark, IF3 film festival in Annecy and Extreme Film Nacht in Austria. However, it can already be viewed in Peak Performance shops and on the website.

Watching Enjoyable State of Being produces a desire for a world that is out there somewhere. A world Peak Performance love and that represents a lot of what the brand stands for. Our autumn communication highlights a fantastically skilful ski team that makes an immense contribution to our product development, says Anders Norin, who works for Peak Performance in skiing sponsorship.

New skiers in an incredibly strong ski team

Peak Performance has a strong ski team with young men and women who are internationally recognized within the freeride/freeski segment. A new name in the team this year is the Canadian Dave Treadway, a powerful skier who in recent years has been both winner and runner-up in the Red Bull Cold Rush. You can see Dave´s fantastic skiing in Enjoyable State of Being and also in Out of the Shadows from Dendrite Studios.

However, the most well-known members are Henrik Windstedt, generally regarded as the world’s best allround skier, and Kevin Rolland, double X Games champion in SuperPipe. Henrik Windstedt has been in the Peak Performance Ski Team since 1999 and will be in the limelight in the autumn in films including Matchstick Productions’ The Way I See It and Fields Production’s Side by Side. This winter he is focusing on the Freeride World Tour where his aim is to recapture the world championship title.
