The Red Bull Cold Rush at Retallack Lodge has concluded. The third and final day of competition was a busy day to say the least, as yesterday's forced postponement of the cliff portion of the event due to weather meant that both the cliff and big mountain disciplines had to be completed today.

Fortunately, it was a near perfect day with clear skies and more fresh snow to boot, and in the end, both elements of the event went off without a hitch and complete with many a smiles.

To say that the level of skiing on display today was gnarly would be as big of an understatement as Retallack's unbelievable amount of sick terrain (if you haven't been here before...go. Seriously).

Once the shredding was all said and done the athletes congregated in the lodge for a stunningly delicious meal and to watch and judge the footage from today and crown the 2009 Red Bull Cold Rush Champion.

And just because the event is over doesn't mean the fat lady is singing. So in case you forgot, here's a friendly reminder about the two crazy contests that you can enter on the mini-site...first off, once you've seen who won and checked out all the footage, it will be up to you, the NS readers, to decide who will take home the People's Choice Award in the Recount contest. You can begin voting on Friday and will have a week to do so (the deadline is March 27th), and anyone and everyone who votes will be automatically entered to win a Red Bull Cold Rush prize pack that includes a Dakine backpack, Smith goggles, Retallack swag and more!
