What up NS! Mike Riddle here… I am down in Colorado with Team Canada (Justin Dorey, Sarah Burke, Matt Margetts, Roz Groenewoud, Dania Assaly, Trennon Paynter) for the Totino’s Open a.k.a Dew Tour Stop #1 at Breck. We have been down here since Nov.22 training in Copper’s perfect 22ft monster of a pipe and at Breck and Keystone sessioning the park and having a blast. Although there is virtually no snow in Summit (and even though I had to leave Whistler’s record breaking November snowfall to be here) the parks are pretty dialed for early season and the training has proved to have been worth it. The Slope course here in Breck is definitely going to surpass last years in that all three jumps are big enough to double and there are at least 4 jibs to be hit in every run… I won’t bother breaking the course down because I’m sure you’ve all heard it before. As for the pipe the shape couldn’t be better… it’s consistent the whole way down the wall and the vert is good but… it is only 18ft. This normally wouldn’t matter but because everyone has been skiing Copper’s 22 it feels really small and takes some serious getting used to. Some of the bigger tricks (like David Wise and Kevin Rolland’s double 12’s) become not impossible but far more difficult to execute. The finals for pipe are tonight and slope tomorrow and I guarantee both are gonna go off so check it out on TV (NBC, MTV2, USA…schedule online) or keep checking back here on NS! Anyways… this update is a lil lacking on pictures (ok…no pictures at all) cause my digi cam has not been working but I do have some video of a bit of what we’ve been up to the last week… some time at Woodward at Copper (video of myself, Trennon Paynter, Matt Margetts, Dania Assaly and Sarah Burke). That place is so epic and I highly recommend it if you get a chance. Woodward Session from mike riddle on Vimeo.

Hope you enjoy, Cheers,-Riddle
