The weather forecast for this weekend looks sunny and warm, so it's a

go. Carinthia will reopen April 18 and 19 with two full terrain parks,

2 ski trails, the superpipe and BBQ and beer tubs on the deck.

The National Weather Service expects sunshine all weekend, with highs

getting near 50 degrees. Gaitor and Elia are already in their cats,

prepping Nitro and Inferno (the very same park featured in the Dew Tour

three months ago) for all you park rats. Mineshaft and the Gulch will

be stripped of their features and smoothed out as a regular ski trail.

Deer Run/Long John will also be open from the top of Carinthia down to

Season Pass. The Nitro Express will be the only lift running.

Take time to relax and soak up some vitamin E on the Carinthia deck,

where we'll be grilling up burgers and dogs and slingin' cold beer and

soda out of the ice tubs.

Lift tickets are $45 adult, $35 young adult, $25 jr./sr. and will be

sold out of the Vault, which will be open for all your retail needs.

All season passes will be honored this weekend, including midweek

passes and 2009/2010 early-bird passes. Lifts open at 9 a.m.

If it weren't for you diehard spring skiers and riders, we'd be moping

around lamenting the melting snow. Instead, we'll be riding with

friends. Thanks for keeping us open!
