HEAVENLY TO OPEN SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24 FOR THE 2007-2008 SEASONThe West Coast's Largest Snowmaking System Allows Heavenly toOpen with the Best Snow Surface Conditions at Lake Tahoe  Heavenly Mountain Resort, Lake Tahoe, Calif./Nev. – November 23, 2007 – The HeavenlyGondola will open to the public at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007, signaling thestart of the 2007-2008 snowsports season at Lake Tahoe. The West Coast’s largestsnowmaking system has been operating non-stop since Monday, November 19 to ensure thatHeavenly’s guests will be skiing and snowboarding on high-quality snow surface conditions thisThanksgiving weekend.“We’re very excited to be opening Thanksgiving weekend, particularly considering the limitedamount of natural snowfall we’ve received so far this year,” said Blaise Carrig, Heavenly’s chiefoperating officer. “We owe it all to very cold temperatures and Heavenly’s amazing snowmakingcrew and snowmaking system. Although terrain is limited, coverage will be very good andguests will be thrilled to be on the mountain skiing off some of those Thanksgiving calories.”Heavenly will offer skiing and snowboarding primarily on Orion run, Heavenly’s signature trail onthe upper Nevada side of the mountain. Snow conditions on open trails will be machine-madeand machine-groomed snow. Guests will be asked to stay only on designated runs to avoid thincoverage on areas of the mountain without machine-made snow. All access to the mountain willbe through the Heavenly Village Gondola. Dipper Express will serve as the primary chairlift, withTamarack Express and Comet Express open as transport lifts.
