Faction rages it up at Da Fat Derby 2009 in Verbier

On a beautiful sunny Sunday the Faction HQ crew set up for a ski test day and in support of all the skiers and boarders taking part in the 3rd Annual Da Fat Derby in Verbier. The event has become part of the European Derby Circuit and real day out for the keen spectator. The format is a full on Chinese downhill with two runs and the winner selected from the best combined time. This year there was plenty of sun and snow making it a great day for the riders and the public alike.

In the end it was Sebastien Mayer winning for the second time on skis and Mike Aeschbach keeping his title as snowboard champion three years running.

On the women's side it was Isa Brzegowy taking the title on skis and Ludmilla Tchehlarova on snowboard. Ludmilla might just switch to skiing after she tries the Heroine 178 she won as a prize!!

So after many people came out to have a first try on the 09/10 line of Faction skis there was still some sun left for more festivities. On hand were the Diktators, Verbier's favorite local rock band Faction co-founder Tony McWilliam turning up the volume on the guitar and vocals.

So a big shout out to enky for organizing the event; http://www.enky.ch, Hardcore Ski and Board Shop Verbier, Big Ben from the Pub Mt Fort who cooked up some great food for everyone and all the spectators who made in another fun and great day in the Alps for Faction in our backyard of Verbier, Switzerland
