The mini jump, being approached by camper.

Day 1 started off rainy, but that didn’t deter any of Session 1′ers from having a blast! Timberline made a mini private park for campers under the Stormin’ Norman lift and skiers and snowboarders lapped all day on the soft snow, enjoying breaks in the rain throughout the day. The snow was great and everyone was excited to be back at the mountain, so smiles abounded even though the weather was gray and foggy.

Making the first day on hill even better, Dakine is here taking over the session! Chris Benchetler and Curtis Ciszek were on hill and ran a best trick contest on the mini jump. Coaches Mike Hornbeck and Tucker Speer joined in the game with their campers and everyone had a blast boarding and skiing and trying new tricks. Chris and Curtis awarded Dakine gloves to the winners–bonus! Shredding with pros, lapping with friends, learning new tricks, and having fun on the first day of summer camp on hill!

Camper Noah was extra equipped to shred in the rain. Noah threw down some really creative tricks on the whoop-jump, like a cab three to tripod to straight air.

The gang’s all here! Thanks to everyone that came out and shredded with us! And thanks to Chris, Curtis, and Dakine!
