Today i awoke to the stern face of a marine. Suddenly the memories flooded back in, i asked him to come today. He was here to speak with me about enlisting and joining in, on what i had believed to be the killing of natives to the homeland we had been invading for the past few years. But as he spoke my views shifted. I started to buy into the propaganda of being part of something bigger than yourself. When you think about it though anything and everything is something bigger than yourself why not join a swim team with the same motto. But still i couldn't help this urge to just forget about everything and enlist. Why do people feel the need to push things upon others. Its been said its an instinct to group together and form organizations much like packs of wolves, but i guess if you get into the more intelligent species you start to see lies being spread, propaganda being formed and suddenly you see a giant corrupt urge of us all to make others become one of us skiers, or one of us boarders, and suddenly hatred starts to grow for the other groups.
