I was lucky enough to go heliskiing in Gulmarg in mid March, right on the back of a big storm.
It was pretty damn fun! Here's a quick teaser of some of the shenanigans...
Great powder and visibility in Montafon this morning, and stability felt good pretty much everywhere, but I released a little pocket of wind slab on our last run down a fairly steep (maybe 40° at the rollover, though the GoPro doesn't show it) NW slope. It was my first time on this slope so I took it pretty easy on the top bit, but it opens up pretty quickly so you can actually really let loose...
Avi danger is super high in the Alps right now, but skiing mellow low angle pow and trees is always a pleasure! This is just a quick mash-up of a few mornings skiing before work in Montafon over the last couple of weeks. Includes initial experiments with the '3rdPersonView' mount from Sail Video Systems.
