This season I managed to catch an edge while skiing and managed to eject out of a ski and rock my head pretty hard on a solid layer of ice. The end result was a broken pivot plate on my FKS's and a possible concussion (idk if it was one or not bc I was pretty baked when it happened).

Messing around on a powder day and was buttering past a mid-mountain lift station when I hit a concrete drain I didn't see because it was covered up with snow. Ate it in front of like 40 people.

Last year I hit a 20 footer, not very large, on a pretty average east coast day. For those of you who don't know what that means, it was basically icy/hard snow everywhere. So I hit this jump with way too much speed. I hit it and then was 10 feet up when I went over the knuckle, and then cleared the entire landing. I landed right on my back and couldn't walk for a week, and couldn't ski for a month.

At Killington, opening week in October. Completely overstoked about so much pow in October. Decide to ride the park and hit a few kickers. Sent it way too hard on the last one, about 10' of air straight down to flat. Landed flat footed, momentum carried me forward and ripped me out of my skis, double eject face-plant right into a double head tap scorpion. Guy sitting next to the jump erupted into laughter after he asked if I was alright. I was laughing until I got to the lift and realized I reinjured my AC joint and Rotator Cuff..

Last run of the season, main park is closed so go to intermediate park, it has a tripple set with bad spacing, haven't hit the intermediate park for a while so I dont know what speed is required. Almost case the 1st of the tripple set, so straight line it to the second one. Fully clear the table, knuckle and landing, landing at the start of the last kicker, go full backseat, skis slide out from underneath me. I alid up and over the last kicker, ending on my ass in front of the knuckle.

Powder day at Winter Park, me and some friends built a jump on the 15 foot wind lip. I went switch 5 landed backseat and did a back till, a Jerry was watching us and started clapping...

Stomp a small 10ft cliff and barreled out of it at mock ten. Hit a ice bump coming on to the groomer and double ejected, flew 15 feet landed on my chest nocked the wind outta me and bruised all my lower ribs. Popped 3 Advil and skied the rest of the day

First time ever skiing in powder, on a low vis day, travelling at a fair bit of speed to try and keep up with my mate. Managed to ski into a small hole/crevass which I didn't spot, my skis got wedged, I double ejected and stomped a perfect front flip to land on my arse about 10 feet further down the hill - right underneath the lift line....

Also first time I ever tried a sw 180 off a tiny green jump into the park, I popped well too early, span out of control and crashed into one of the spotting poles and snapped it in two - right in front of the park crew... fml haha

Too many...

1) When I was first getting into park/freestlye skiing, I was practicing skiing switch. Was making my way down the run, when I got clotheslined by a boundary rope. This happened twice.

2) Again, first year or two of park skiing. Was skating into a small spine in the terrain garden on Blackcomb, my ski popped off and I faceplanted right into the lip.

3) Demoing skis about 5 years ago, at the time I was about 5'3 and was trying out a pair of 176 cm skis. Was on a steep tree run, tried to jump turn and got my ski caught in a tree. Hung upside down for a few minutes while my brother laughed his ass off at me.

4) A few years ago on on Grouse Mountain, there was a 20-ish foot spine that had a decently steep lip right under the chair. Decided I would backflip it, took in all the speed I could and laid out a perfect (I thought) backie. Caught my tips hard, double eject to scorpion all the way down the landing. Stomped it second try though.

5) Anything involving a treewell.

Was dicking around all day Saturday getting day drunk and doing backflips off every hit in a slushy park................... never fell once. First hit Sunday morning, decided I couldn't fail, knuckled a backie into double eject front flip in front of a packed lineup in the park.

I've got a super lame one but in many ways it embodies the true Jerry spirit. Anyways, I was eating some nachos at one of the cafeterias on the mountain when I realized that the lifts were about to close. I needed to get back to my car but I didn't want to leave my nachos so I dumped them in a travel box. I went up the first lift and skied down to the final lift I'd need to take with my to-go box in my hands and my poles hanging limply from my wrists (pole straps are core as fuck). I felt pretty confident, I was linking my turns better than I usually did on tequila Tuesdays despite having nachos in my hands so I decided to get a bit sendy on my final run to the parking lot. I skated left off the lift towards the mogul run and with my nachos held high I did my best Jonny Moseley impression down the fall line. About three bumps in I had a relatively minor fall but that was all it took. I stared in disbelief for a couple of seconds at my loaded carnitas nachos that were now smeared down the back of a mogul. Resigned, I did my best to scoop the soggy nacho remnants back into the box before I skied away with my head held low. RIP $12 nachos, you're gone but never forgotten.

Before I started skiing I snowboarded. I was riding the tow rope at buck hill probably 7 years ago and I dropped the tow rope. The rope fell between the high back of my binding and my boot. The rope pulled me onto my ass and started to drag me up the hill. The liftie wasn’t paying attention so I made it all the way through the stop gate and ended up hanging upside down about 5 feet in the air. I used to have a picture of it but I can’t seem to find it

i took a right cork 3 last season too deep, double ejected, in the middle of a train with 2 other friends at tline. my friend tried to avoid me and did a frontflip to 90, landed sideways and also double ejected. nobody got hurt tho so it was chyllll.

Season before last at Stevens pass, accidentally got myself unbalanced while sending Tye rock, caught an edge right before liftoff, and tumbled off the top at speed. Luckily it was a pow day, and also unluckily it was a pow day because the lift directly next to the cliff was packed to the max.

I can still hear the collective "ooooooohhh" from the 50 people who saw it to this day.

When I was around 7 years old I fell from the chairlift. Luckily there was 4 or 5' of powder below.

Two seasons ago I caught both tips into a block of ice that was hidden under 3 or 4" of fresh snow while gaining speed to take a side hit, double ejected, flew 10 feet down the slope, crashed head first and did a nice scorpion. All that right under a packed chairlift.

Skiing mashed potatoes in April by myself and decided to go into some steep and close trees. One ski got under the snow and got wedges, and during the fall I got my pole also wedged between two trees and because it was a steep run I couldn’t lean up to knock off my ski. I laid there panicking for 20 minutes before I mustered enough ab strength to get myself out.

Last December on a pow day at Lookout Pass, ripped through 2 and a half feet of pow down the steepest run on the hill (just a standard mogul run because it's a small mellow hill) but I was still pretty stoked. Getting back on the lift the snow on the loading ramp was kind of soft due to the pow and I caught my tip on the ramp, got pulled into a daffy kind of position, and fell off the lift headfirst immediately after getting on. The lifties looked at me like I was such a jerry

Decided it was finally time to pony up & hit one of the biggest kickers at Snowbasin last year, came in waaaaayyy too hot and overshot the landing so I came down on hard flat snow, my knee shot up into my face and made my mouth bleed a bunch. I never tried that kicker again.

#1 Tried to pick up extra snow on my skis when getting on the lift (ya know to drop on people). My one ski got stuck in the snow and ripped off. They had to stop the lift and one of the workers had to come out and reattach my ski while I sat in the chair....

#2 Last year I was cooking it down an ungroomed portion of the trail and cut over to the groomed part, which naturally caused me to go faster. Somehow, some way when I tried to check my speed, I got bucked forward, double ejection, and ended up sliding down the mountain face first. I managed to turn myself around self arrest with my pole, but not before sliding at least 100 yards down the trail. My skis were still where I initially fell. A dude was nice enough to bring me one of my skis, and his all knowing wisdom said "it's a steep hill to fall on"...thanks I didn't notice haha. ....This trail followed the lift line....

My friend and I decided to play slvsh at our local New Jersey hill in the wettest, slushiest conditions ever. I was looking fly af with my new yoke hoodie and it was my set first. I was going fast af and went to lip on a long flatbar rail that had no jump but was legit 6 inches on the ground, I fucked up and my tails caught under the rail. Didn't eject and my skis flexed the opposite way and popped out from under the rail and I scorpioned like 15 feet on my stomach and face in wet slush and absolutely soaked my new hoodie like second run of the day.
Forgot to mention park crew was fixing the rail right next to me so I had to face the other people thinking you're a jerry humiliation

When I first got into park skiing I looked like your average "park rat" but because of this and because I sucked people would constantly heckle me when I ate shit (mainly snowboarders from this city 4 hours out from my town). At the time I had no concept or grasp on how tricks "worked"

This so one time I'm lookin fly with my kit lookin like I just came straight off a level 1 movie and then proceed to eat complete shit on a fat dancefloor box cause I was trying to slide semi sideways before pizza-ing on it. I proceeded to get called out by the chairlift who yelled "You suck!" from the chair:

Needless to say that was a pretty embarrassing first day of ever skiing park. On the bright side I'm half decent now and people sometimes even say my trick, whatever it was, was cool! Now that felt good haha.

Anyone who yells to people that they suck from the chairlift is a douche. Unless it is towards your friends. I saw this happen last winter. This 12ish year old straight up yardsale'd on a landing. Ill admit, the wipeout was entertaining, but these teenagers who didnt know him were trash talking. You suck. Just quit now. Etc etc.. pissed me off to hear that. We all start somewhere, and it's not like these hecklers are pro skiers, but rather usually mediocre park skiers or boarders who think they're the shit because they can throw a 180 or 360 off a 10ft jump.

Ok. Rant over. Back to the thread.

Not sure if it qualifies, but it was deifnetely getting that footy for the boys. My brother was at the top of a pretty steep run and he wanted me to get that footy and my phone was dead so we decided to tomahawk his phone down the run and I’d catch it. Ended up working and I caught it and got to take the video but his sound didn’t work after that. Worth it.

i did a nollie on a roller and caught my noses and fell so hard. it was under the chairlift. it was during Open Klasse in Myrkdalen, Norway some years ago. i remember James Woodsy asking me if i was ok.

once when i was literally just standing still on a crowded day waiting for my friends, and i just fell for no reason. i felt so stupid.

One time, back in like 2004, I was skiing bumps down superstar at Killington. I was fuckin slayin'em, I'm talking some Johnny Mosely shit. As I approached the last 50ft of the run I could see the folks at the bar and on the lift cheering me on, FULL HOTDOG MODE ENGAGE! I floored the gas pedal and picked up speed, planning to trick the last bump. With perfect form, I hit the last mogul and started my rotation for a mute 3. As I spotted my landing I noticed a rope that went across the bottom of the trail, only allowing you to exit in a small space in the middle of the trail. BOOM I fucking close-lined that rope, and got tossed back into the ring, full on YARD SALE! Everyone at the bar on the deck saw it, whooped & hollered, and put their beers into the air for me. Been hotdoggin ever since!

I tried to hop a lift bar that lets you got onto the flat to get on the chair lift ( i knew the liftie he wasnt gonna give me shit) and I was too slow. The chair sideswiped my ass so i was laying down on it sideways like I was trying to seduce someone on a bed

I first learned how to backflip at Lake Louise on a rail takeoff. When i brought it home, i landed it first try again, but i wanted to go bigger. I completely sent it to the gucci plateau and overrated to my back, but all of my weight landed on my elbow. Long story short I had to become left handed for a few months.

You used the jump to practice backflips instead of the rail it was intended for? Uh ohhhhhhhh. There's another thread called skiing etiquette and this is a big no no :D

Last season-- a few of my friends leave the bar and head up to the gondi so I slam my drink and run out to catch up. Everything was rushed and I didn't realize I grabbed a nearly identical set of atomics from the rack. At the top I was first out the gondi so upon exiting and seeing the wrong skis outside I kindof froze up. Just said see y'all at the bottom and got back on the same car with my head down and all my friends were like wtf are you doing. I still get skiing nightmares with this theme-- like its a pow day and you forget a piece of gear and the I-fucked-up and FOMO feeling sinks in hard then I wake up sweatin.

One of my first days skiing at jhmr I drove to the bus stop, parked, and grabbed all my gear to go wait at the stop. I set my skis boots poles pack helmet whatever down and am in the bathroom when the bus shows up. I grab my shit only to realize I left my boots sitting there away from the rest of the pile cuz I didn't want them getting snowed on. So I arrive at the base about an hour before the open and I decide I'll put my skis in line and brb. I take a bus back to the commuter lot, grab my frozen cold boots, and ride another bus of shame back to the base (and boot up on the ride) and arrive at like 8:55. I'm stoked cuz I made it.
As I hustle uphill to the tramline, I see that my skis were THROWN off the deck well out of line and my poles are on the roof over the ticket window. So first impression all these local tramriders think that I'm a total Jerry. Gettin hit with snowballs as I grab my skis and walk of shame up to a different lift.
