Just listened to some Sum 41 for no reason and remembered how much better that movement was than EDM.


Just through on some yellowcard(Don't that's my jam) and might even wonder back to some NFG to finish off the night.


Anybody else miss pop punk bands?

yeah it's sort of similar. but peripheral vision is dream pop whereas title fight's latest albums are more shoegaze. honestly i wouldn't classify peripheral vision as pop punk at all. title fight could be argued. music genres r hard

Yeah there's just too many genres at this point. I figure I'd rather just listen than try and classify.

With Wheatus getting mentioned.

Played almost weekly at the club in Lesotho this summer. Nostalgia'd

Also between there and some other place I was this year them tunes ain't dead. This big club in Barcelona has a huge "rock" music party on mondays. Heard a bunch of other stuff. And couldn't believe how packed it was. The states might have gone all electronic but there's still some hope for the world.

Also not sure that Rise Against is really underrated. They were pretty popular. A lot of songs sound similar but I do love me some rise against. Saw them with thrice and alkaline trio in 08 and it was a great show. Had to leave early from rise against to go wash dishes(lame) but had a good time regardless.

I'm so jealous.ci was strictly hip hop until college bit recently got into pop punk and front bottoms are one of few bands I can put on shuffle and enjoy for hours at work.

Three bands I've been super into lately. Great music to jam to while driving or skiing - Moose Blood is maybe better to cry to, but to each their own.

Also desperately waiting for Neck Deep to put out some new stuff.

Moose blood are rad, I gave them a listen cause of the brand new reference in 'Boston'

The Front Bottoms are cool. I love the album Under Soil and Dirt by TSSF. I don't listen to pop punk much anymore, but I still consistently listen to the Wonder Years and The Front Bottoms. I'm not sure if they're considered pop punk, but I also still really dig Tigers Jaw and Title Fight.

My buddy and I were getting drunk and listening to music and he put on NFG. I was like omg! Needless to say we drank heavily and NFG, yellowcard, sum 41, 30 foot fall and more were blasted.

I felt like shit this morning though

Considering the obvious roots in punk but a more streamlines and popular sound pop punk sounds pretty fitting. It doesn't fit the pop genre on its own as he was suggesting
