Getting alcohol for avicii in new orleans

So im going down to New Orleans for a weekend with my brother to visit my mom. We're going to Avicii while we're down there but I don't have any way to get alcohol or anything else. I'm 19 but my brother is 17 and I don't have much confidence ill be able to get my mom to buy us a fifth knowing our plan is to binge drink it before a concert.

I'm thinking my options are:
Steal it. I don't like stealing at all it makes me feel terrible.
Shoulder tap. Sketch balling I haven't had to do this for like 4 years.
Bring it in my checked luggage? Will I get fucked for not being of age?
Start networking hard and find someone who has a brother or cousin or something that would hook it up.
Buy molly after I get in.
Use spring scholarship money to buy a fake id.
Makes friends in the hotel lobby or something and convince someone to help me out. This is the only thing I want to do but it seems pretty unreliable...

so ns any ideas? or was this a waste of a thread...

1. Buy a cheap handle instead of a fifth. Better to have too much over not enough. Plus the bottle would be plastic so there would be no concern about a glass bottle breaking.
2. I *think* it would be fine in your checked bag, I put cigarettes in my bag whilst underage, and they were there on the other side. Don't know if it would be a different story with alcohol.

I'd roll but im going to sasquatch 4 days later and told my friend id roll with him for his first time at Pretty Lights. Plus buying molly from people I know in oregon seems like a much smarter idea than some sketch Louisiana dealer on the corner.
I don't have an address to mail it too, are you able to just mail it to a post office to pick up? Are there any laws about shipping liquor?

just put it in your bag, they're not gonna fuck with it... it's really not that big of a deal until you start consuming it as far as getting in any legal trouble goes.

Not true at all. A MIP is a MIP regardless of whether you're actually drinking.

That being said, I agree you should just take it in your suitcase. The TSA agents that scan your suitcase have no idea how old you are (i think), so they wont do anything even if they discover your alcohol. However, if you want to be safe, hide it in a sunscreen bottle or a shampoo bottle.

in the USA you can get beer almost anywhere,  so cant you just keep trying places until you dont get carded?   In Canada you have to go 1 of 2 regulated stores, and even then you dont always get IDd

I would think having a sealed and labeled bottle of something decent (probably something only available regionally), wrapped in bubble wrap would be better than in a shampoo bottle, at least if they find it I can just say my mom was having my bring it down for her.

mail would be preferred still tho i think.

Contact the post office there and ask. My dad does that type of thing at drop points for backpacking all the time. He just always calls to make sure that the post office will hold it. There shouldn't be a problem

ive flown with a nalgene of whiskey in a ski box and when i got it it had a slip saying the box was searched an the nalgene was still there. thay only care about you carrying on liquids

Avicii sucks live, its like listening to his songs on a big ass sound system. No actual dj-work at all. His music is good though, but you'd expect him to mix it up a bit at his live shows.

I've flown with alcohol a bunch when under age. I've even paid customs duties on it, which meant handing over my passport (with my age) and filling out how much booze I had on me. I've gotten a few funny looks but never once had a problem. Homeland Security has bigger fish to fry than to teens trying to drink before a concert.

what would you recommend? im already planning on rolling 5 days after this concert at Pretty Lights and just dont wanna put my body through that many hard drugs. I have absolutely no hope that I'd be able to find a dealer with cid and I only really like coke when im drinking and it's expensive as tits and undoubtedly cut with something awful.. I have shrooms but I'd have to fly them down there which'll be way sketchier than alcohol plus that doesnt sound like my cup of tea..

you seem to be over thinking things... if you feel you really need drugs to have fun, nola is a mess after sundown. Finding dealers on bourbon st is just as easy as finding a hooker. finding a bar/ store that doesn't ID is even easier. The place will be filled with tourists and kids adventuring from LSU. It'd take a half hour at most to find a friendly college kid. Odds are they'll point you in the right direction or grab you something from a liquor store. You have alot of options that don't involve national security, MIP, and transporting across state lines... going as far as mailing things to yourself is hilarious. the easiest way is still just ask your mom. I'm sure your parents have no delusions that you don't drink and if you're 19 and not a total fuck up they should trust you with a fifth by now.

Put it into your checked luggage. The guys that scan it don't know your name or age so you won't have any problems. If by some small chance you do, tell them that you are bringing it for your mother. Easy.
