Seriously.....

Unbelievable....

Did that really happen?

I think I do my best to not rave, not to show bias, but..

To those who had to wait each Winter/Spring for a Warren Miller film to sometimes show up at a local theater and to those who bought his VHS tapes and are reading this..........

You! You will be able to relate to what just happened to me.

haha yes the movie was unbelievable ... I had shivers in the opening segment, everything was awesome, from the urban to the neck deep pow

but ...

I seem to just think about the paragliding/skiing section in Can't Stop........ EPIC!

Word.  ............now that you mention those POV shots, however that was not the epic memory point for me from a sensory overload perspective yesterday.  I bet you don't own any VHS tapes.  Ha!

i got heavy hittings' parental advisory (still the best ski movie ever) transferred from VHS to DVD this summer.  now i can kill the VCR.

Hype? Yeah I guess so.  Sort of

The majority of people who strap on sticks, slide down hills and know who Warren Miller is, they will understand the historical skiing significance of this film.  I mean hell!  he doesn't even narrate the films produced under his name.  I went to a Warren Miller Premiere about 5 years ago, it was the last Warren Miller film I saw, it sucked without his narration, not that Refresh would suck with out him, it s just that.

Oh nevermind..  Off to go see some more ski porn.

Everyone should do IF3 cause remember if you don't, you will be at least another year older when you do.

wallisch's urbans are amazing

The title is perfect too.  It's the only movie I've seen in the last few years that's any different.  So sick, and it makes you want to ski like nothing else.

THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS AMAZING. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO POWDER, URBAN, JUMPS AND PARK SHOOT WITH ALL THE BEST.
SOUNDTRACK IS ON TOP.  EVERYBODY SHOULD GET A COPY RIGHT NOW, YOU WONT REGRET.

This thread is sort of funny because in a different Refresh thread someone mentioned Marren Miller did something with it and they removed his post.

...I'm sort of bummed the surprise is ruined now, but I had a feeling anyway, and I'm stoked because Warren Miller's playground got me into park.

But yeah, Refresh was in my mind the movie with the most banger shots and the fact that they had the MAN of the ski movie industry himself speaks volumes. Props to Level 1 for being so damn awesome.

Word..  I sorta went WTF too! I totally understood the call, had Refresh won, there would be quite teh outcry on here, fo rsure.

Such a tough call.  I mean production quality, colors/contrast of EDIAS was noticeably superior to others, when combined with unique locations, big lines and epic features .... I mean how the hell do you allow narration of a one movie to be more heavily weighted than the other categories that make up a film...?

It will be interesting, I am betting more will latch onto Refresh as word gets out that it has Warrens narrations and put it into their libraries for that reason.

Such a tough call, sans Miller, EDIAS rules hands down however, if anyone asks me, "I can only buy one movie this year, whcih one should I get?"  It's a no brainer, I would recommend Refresh simply for the historical significance.
