My racer friend (well he used to be) was like physically and mentally harassing me because I 'wasnt a real skier' according to him. Fighting back was not an option cause hes like 6'4 225 pounds, so I got mad at him and put 2 tiny little scratches in the bottom of his ski. (Like what would happen it you ran over a stick or something). He called up my parents one day and told them that I scratched his ski down to the core, and that they cant be repared. Now, my parents want me to give him like 200 dollars to get a full bottom replacement. I went up to look at the 'damage' the other day and looked at it. Most people wouldnt even give a shit about a scratch this small. I have plenty worse in my bottoms, its nothing that a little ptex cant fix. And I am expected to give him 200 dollars? What the hell...

Your totally right...but if it is to the core I'd be pissed off too. Like fuck if someone would give me a base shot on my skis that wopuld cost me like 900$ to replace I'd be pissed.

No, I didnt explain it well. Its not even 1/8th of an inch deep. Not even through the top layer of wax. He doesnt know anything about skis, or he just wants to get revenge, I dunno. Its like 10 dollars of damage, if that.

Ok, Ill admit I was wrong to do it in the first place, but if you put a little ding in someones car and they said it was totaled and wanted you to buy them a new car, wouldnt you be a little pissed that they were lying to get more money out of you.

dont pay him, take them from him and say youll fix it and put epoxy in it then voila, our done, or use a p-tex gun if you have one, one thing is for sure do it yourself and DONT PAY HIM

He only races, and cant admit the fact that skiing is moving toward newschool. He would start picking on me about things that didnt even have to do with skiing, like my home life and such. Also, he threw my skis and broke the tip off one of them, so who says I cant do anything to his skiis.

if he broke the tip of your skis, which sounds a lot worse then what u did, make him pay for your tip, then pay him for the little scratches, but deffinitly dont pay him 200

Seriously, if he broke the tip off one of ur skis call up his parents or something and say that he broke ur ski in half or something and make him pay for that. Then offer to pay for getting his skis waxed or repaired if that's all you damaged.

If you didn't it wouldnt' have happened. Why should he have to pay for someone else being a dickface?
Like if someone dings your car... you would want them to fix it... but they would just be like 'Oh, its only a small scratch, noone cares about that' that's not the point... the point is you did something, and you should have to fix it.

Ewww!!! I saw this HUGE guy at the mountain wearing a g-suit and there was a hole right in the crotch and he had his legs crossed with a barret (sp?) on. It was the nastiest thing I've ever seen in my life.
