The FIS Freestyle World Championships Halfpipe event happens once

every 2 years, and this year it took place in Japan.

Rossignol was well represented by Rosalind Groenewoud (CAN), Kevin

Rolland (FRA), Xavier Bertoni (FRA), David Wise (USA), Vivien Thiery

(FRA) and Nathan Wood (CAN).

The big guns stepped up for Rossignol again in Japan this week, with Kevin throwing another double flip into the mix and claiming the FIS Freestyle World Championship gold. Xavier's seamless transitions carried him through to third on the podium, a strong end to an amazing breakout season that included golds in the X Games and the World Cup circuit. The two are facing some stiff competition next season from US teammate David Wise, who was edged off the podium in fourth.
