Why are people always standing on the knuckle of big jumps? I assume it's for safety in case someone knuckles or slams really hard and needs help but I only see it in big parks and usually in pros edits just wondering what they're there for.

yeah your right its usually either for getting clips for someone or to signal to anyone waiting that the jump is clear or signalling to not hit it cause someone crashed and is getting back up
It's a great place to sit for a rest. I usually sit in the middle in front of that big block of ice because I don't want to get in the way of everyone skiing over the knuckle.

I was a course attendant for the junior World Cup down in NZ. For slopestyle they had us positioned on each knuckle so we could see both the takeoff and landing and could radio the starter if someone got injured or lost gear. Outside of a comp setting I’d imagine it’s for clips, there’s no better view imo
Watch your homie go stupid on the booter/close it easily if he fucks up
They're not... There's nobody standing there, it's all in your head.
it happens everywhere. obviously you wanna stop in a place where you can get some speed when you resume going downhill. and knuckle is a great place to watch the show
I see alot of tourists do it because they are fascinated by the size especially the XL jumps

farmville ur funny as 😂
The view is best on the knuckle. Plus you can see if the landing is clear. Its cool for someone to signal a landing.
Some people are like cats and have a natural instinct to get to high places
